🌳🚜 Not all heroes wear scrubs…💚🐾

While our veterinary team is busy caring for your furry family members, there’s someone working just as hard behind the scenes to keep our hospital grounds looking beautiful!

From mowing the grass to maintaining our property, our amazing maintenance team member helps make VCA Loomis Basin a welcoming place for our clients, patients, and staff.

His hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we’re so grateful for everything he does to keep our little corner of Loomis looking its best! 🌿☀️

Let’s give a big shoutout to the man behind the beautiful grounds! 👏💚

Every surgery starts long before the first incision. It starts with a veterinary technician who has spent years mastering their skills, anticipating needs, monitoring vitals, and showing up fully prepared for every patient who comes through the door.

Vet techs are the heart of every OR team, and their skill and dedication make a difference every single day. At some VCA specialty hospitals, we take surgical collaboration even further. Some of our teams include Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) — professionals who earned specialized degrees specifically to support surgeons in the OR.

The result? Less time under anesthesia. Better outcomes. And a team that truly works as one. 💙

Because every patient is somebody's pet — and they deserve nothing less than the best.

We had the best time at the Placer SPCA Wag and Walk! 🐾 Thank you to the whole Placer SPCA team for putting on such a fun day. There were happy tails everywhere you looked.

Our team had so much fun at our booth, and thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi. Whether you came for a quick chat, a pet question, or just to show off your pup, we were so happy to see you. We always love seeing your faces and meeting your pets, and days like this remind us why we love being part of this community. 💛

We even got to say hello to our friends at Kitten Central, and yes, there were kitten cuddles. 😻
Until next time!

🐱🐶Is it a quirk… or could your pet be trying to tell you something?

Dogs and cats can hide pain surprisingly well, and some behaviors we brush off as personality quirks may actually be subtle signs of discomfort. Changes in posture, activity, grooming, appetite, or behavior are all worth noticing. 👀💙

Swipe through to learn about some common signs of pain in our furry friends - and if you notice something new or unusual, reach out to your veterinarian. 🐶🐱
