September kept our Animal Control Officers on the move! Throughout the month, our team handled 241 cases and completed 512 individual activities across Longview. From checking on animals’ welfare to responding to wildlife calls and helping lost pets get home, their work takes them into neighborhoods throughout our community every day.
Our officers also worked with residents to address animal-related ordinances through education, notices, warnings, citations, and follow-up visits. These efforts help promote responsible pet ownership and a safer community for people and animals alike.
Each case can involve multiple steps, including conversations with residents, return visits, and continued follow-up. This report offers a glimpse into the time and effort our officers put into serving Longview.
