Dog Style Canine Supply Co. is extremely glad to see this lawsuit continue. There are still vets in our area telling pet owners that eating grain free dog food will cause heart issues, all the while beloved pets suffer daily from grain related allergies and intolerances.

"Even though they allegedly manipulated the DCM in dogs link to grain-free pet food, Hill’s Pet Food is in part responsible for proving that DCM in dogs is not scientifically linked to grain-free pet food."
-A study published in July 2025 titled “Different carbohydrate sources in dog foods supported overall health and cardiac function: an 18-mo prospective study in healthy adult dogs” found no evidence that grain free pet foods were linked to DCM in dogs. “Both grain-free and grain-inclusive diets providing complete and balanced nutrition supported normal cardiac function in healthy adult dogs in an 18-mo study.“
-“The study was funded by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. All authors are current or past employees of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc.“

Dog Style Canine Supply Co. does not promote any particular diet. Every dog is different and each dog has different needs. To categorize all dogs as needing a grain inclusive diet is dangerous, irresponsible and greedy.

The lawsuit alleges Hill's Pet Food planned a major pet food deception.

Longview PAWS through our PAWS & Effect Project partnering with Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center is offering FREE microchips for Gregg County residents starting this Tuesday, June 30th thru Saturday July 4th (excluding Friday due to City holiday). Make plans now. No appointments necessary but there could be wait times. Please be understanding and considerate of staff and volunteers.

Microchipping your pet is a safe, quick and permanent way to help ensure they find their way back home if they ever become lost or stolen.

Location: 303 HG Mosley Pkwy, Longview, TX 75604

Hours: Tuesday–Saturday | 12–5 PM

When: Tuesday thru Saturday this week (excluding Friday due to City holiday)

— Limit 2 pets per household. Gregg County residents only
