One massage and one gua Sha session plus one week of rest and we are out doing a bit of cheap hydro therapy today. Lol

He's moving a bit better, but is still bothered by his hips. We will keep working on it. 😁

Did I mention he thinks massage is pure torture. Here is his face while I do some hip and hind limbs work. It's absolutely awful.

Here's the video I took yesterday. This is after 2 weeks of kennel rest, 2 weeks of anti-inflammatory medication. He is off of it now and while you can see an improvement in his overall gait, he is still a bit short gaited and moving stiffly in his hips, especially that left! Today, the plan is a massage. :)

I'll post another video in a week or so for comparison.

Come on a journey with me!

These are my dogs. This is an excellent example of what I love.

Here in this video. You can see Zer (the black and tan big boy) with a very shortened gait. He is walking stiffly in his hips and occasionally is "bunny hopping" on his back legs, which is a classic sign of hip pain.

He runs hards, as he loves chasing his ball, and has zero idea of when he should slow. We did 2 weeks of kennel rest and an anti-inflammatory to lower his pain levels. The video shows him before the medication, but after the kennel rest.

He needs a massage.

Contrary to what my patients will tell you (just yesterday, I got my entire face and half my hair positively cleaned by a grateful patient), Zer thinks massage is torture because it involves the worst word ever: stay.

So, we are going to start massage therapy and I will post videos here for comparison. :)

I've been dragging my feet about this for months and months. My goal is to always have my services be as affordable as possible because I truly do not want cost to be a barrier to pets living their best, most pain-free lives. However, with costs rising, I need to do what I haven't done since beginning this journey. I need to raise prices. Beginning July 1st, prices will be as follows:

Consults: $25
30 minute massage: $40
45 minute massage: $55.

A $15 travel fee will apply to those out of the longview/kelso area, not just my Vancouver clients. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I will still offer 10% discounts to veterinary professionals and there will still be no additional charge for red light therapy, blue light therapy, etc.
