Nova is a Domestic Shorthair with a wonderfully goofy and playful personality! 🐱💙

One of her favorite games is a combination of tag and hide-and-seek. She’ll have her family chase her down the hallway before darting into a room, giving them just enough time to find a hiding spot of their own. Once Nova finds them, she scurries away and the whole game starts again! 😄

Her family shared that they especially appreciate our clinic setup, including separate spaces for dogs and cats, and how sweet our team has been with Nova. They also appreciate having quality care at a reasonable cost. Hearing that means so much to us!

We’re so happy to be part of this playful girl’s care and always look forward to seeing Nova! 🐾💕

This month, we’re happy to shine the spotlight on Christina, one of the friendly faces helping our clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for at Family Pet Hospital! 🐾💙

Originally from southern Florida, Christina has called Colorado home for the past 17 years and brings more than 18 years of experience in veterinary medicine to our team. One of her favorite parts of her role is getting to know our clients and having the opportunity to share her passion for veterinary medicine along the way.

When she’s not at the hospital, Christina loves spending time with her husband, son, and their fur family—including a Labrador Retriever and two guinea pigs!

We’re so grateful for the warmth, experience, and genuine care Christina brings to our clients and their pets every day. 💙

MYTH: A cold, wet nose means your pet is healthy—and a warm, dry nose means something is wrong.

FACT: A pet’s nose can naturally change from wet to dry and cool to warm throughout the day. Things like sleeping, activity, the weather, and the environment can all make a difference.

Instead of relying on the nose test, pay attention to your pet’s overall behavior. Changes in appetite, energy level, breathing, bathroom habits, or behavior can tell you much more about how your pet is feeling. 💙

You know your pet’s “normal” better than anyone. If something seems off or you notice a persistent change, that’s a good reason to give us a call. 🐶🐱

One of Lulu's favorite ways to keep the conversation going is by "talking" with her family. Whether they're asking her a question or simply chatting, she's always ready with an adorable response that keeps everyone smiling.
