We ran a 26-day study on 33 pets and published what owners actually reported, including the parts that took three weeks to show up.
The question we wanted to answer: can you support a senior dog's comfort without dulling the dog in the process? Plenty of products help a dog settle. Far fewer help a dog move while staying alert and engaged, and movement is exactly what aging joints need.
Working with MoreBetter and the Veterinary Cannabis Society, we ran five days of baseline with no product, then 21 days of daily use. Owners scored their own pets on three validated veterinary assessments: the Canine BPI, the C.O.D.I., and the Helsinki C.P.I.
On Mobility 4:1, owners reported 63.83% less interference with ability to run, 58.33% less interference with enjoyment of life, and 54.79% less interference with general activity. Quality of life ratings rose 31.50%.
On Balance 1:1, the results were quieter but no less meaningful: 74.40% lower difficulty posturing for the bathroom, 68.24% lower whining scores, 60.57% lower difficulty descending stairs.
Two things we think are worth knowing. 20 of the 29 owners who had already tried other joint support kept using it during the study, so these results layered on top of existing routines rather than replacing them. And 70% of the pets weighed over 50 lbs, with breeds ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
This was a pilot, observational study of owner-reported outcomes. It was not a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, and results varied by pet. We published the design's limits alongside the results because we would rather you make a decision with data than with reviews.
