💙 Today is Dr. Earl’s last day with us at Long Valley Animal Hospital.

Please note the office will be closing today at 4:00 PM so our team can celebrate Dr. Earl and wish him the retirement he so greatly deserves.

After years of compassionate care, dedication to our patients, and unwavering support for our team, we are celebrating the incredible impact he has had on our hospital and community. While we will miss him dearly, we are so grateful for everything he has given to LVAH over the years.

Thank you, Dr. Earl for the lives you’ve touched, the culture you created, and the countless four-legged friends you cared for along the way. 🐾

These patients brought the cuteness AND the personality 🐾

Cookie & Oreo, two recently adopted 13-week-old sisters, came in for their first exams with us and absolutely stole the show. Sweet, social, curious… and clearly already running the household together!

Meanwhile, Mac arrived fully prepared for his appointment... emotional support stuffy and all! This adorable, happy Lab never goes anywhere without a toy, and honestly?! We respect the commitment.

From toys and tail wags to tiny kitten chaos, these sweet faces brought enough personality to keep us smiling all day! ✨

Today, we celebrate Dr. Lauren Semanchik 💜✨

May 5, 2026 would have been Dr. Lauren Semanchik’s 34th birthday, and we’re honoring her in a way that feels just like her, full of love, light, and connection.

Lauren was more than a veterinarian, she was a bright light in our hospital and our community. Known for her compassion, her infectious smile, and of course her signature socks, she brought comfort, laughter, and genuine care to every patient, client, and teammate she met. Though she was taken from us far too soon, the impact she made is something we carry with us every single day.

Today, our team is celebrating her together. We're wearing our Love & Light shirts from her Celebration of Life and Lauren’s signature crazy socks, sharing a staff lunch and birthday cake, and carrying her spirit through small acts of kindness throughout the day. 🎂

While we continue caring for our patients, we invite our community to celebrate alongside us online. Take a moment today to give your pet a little extra love, whether it’s a cuddle, a walk, or a treat, and share it with us. Show us your craziest socks, share a memory of Lauren, tell us one way you’ll carry her kindness forward, or feel free to share any thoughts you’d like to share in her honor. 💕

We had such a great time attending the Bergen Community College Veterinary Technology Senior Day Celebration!

Congratulations to all 35 graduating students from the Veterinary Technology Program, what an incredible milestone! As you prepare to sit for your Veterinary Technician National Exam, we’re wishing you all the success and confidence as you take the next step toward becoming Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs). 🐶🐱

Our Practice Manager, Jenn, was there representing Long Valley Animal Hospital, bringing the fun with games, giveaways, raffle items, and connecting with students about opportunities at LVAH and across multiple Rarebreed Veterinary Partners hospitals.

👏 We also have to give a huge shoutout to the winners of our Vet Tech 60-Second Challenge: Karalyn and Steven! They managed to remove an impressive 9 foreign bodies in 60 seconds from our “doggy patient”!

🎉 And congratulations to Julianna for winning our raffle basket!

It was such a pleasure meeting so many passionate, driven future techs, the future of veterinary medicine is bright, and we can’t wait to see where your careers take you (and hopefully cross paths again 😉)

With mixed emotions, we share that Dr. Russell Earl will be officially retiring in one month, with his final day in the hospital on May 28th.

After nearly 40 years of caring for your beloved pets and building relationships with so many families in our community, it’s time to begin celebrating an incredible career.

Dr. Earl will be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 28th. While he will be seeing scheduled appointments and may not always be readily available, we absolutely welcome you to stop by to:

Meet Cody! This handsome guy came in today for his 2nd puppy visit, and at just 12 weeks old, he’s already stealing hearts! 💙

Cody was all tail wags, kisses, and excitement! He truly loves coming to the vet (we’ll take that as a win! 😄). He even showed off some of his skills… sit ✔️ spin ✔️ superstar energy ✔️

We have a feeling this smart, happy pup is going to grow into something really special. Welcome to the LVAH family Cody, we can’t wait to watch you grow!
