If/when seeking out a trainer to assist you with your dog, please do your homework. Ask questions. Ask about certifications. Ask about what titles their dog has earned. Ask what tools/techniques they use. Ask about guarantees (they should never offer any). Ask about insurance. Just ASK.

Not all trainers are created equal. Although there are plenty of great trainers who hold no certifications, you may be taking a risk. Knowing that your chosen trainer has passed a seriously detailed examination process is always a plus.

Your dog deserves the very best and so do you!

When interviewing dog trainers, please do your homework and ask questions. If, at any time the trainer suggests punishment (which they often disguise using euphemisms, especially for the use of shock collars), thank them and move on to a trainer who meets the description below.
