Hi everyone!

This weekend Bixby Knolls is packed with fall festivities you won't want to miss! Kick off your Saturday, October 17th, with family-friendly seasonal fun at the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association’s 3rd Annual Harvest Festival, or head over to The Better Half Boutique for shopping, treats, and spooky vibes at their "Witch Please" event. If you are feeling artistic, support a great cause by attending the Brushes & Blossoms Autumn Fundraiser hosted by Evolving by Design. Then on Sunday, October 18th, bring the whole family to Rasselbock to celebrate their lively Family Oktoberfest with traditional bites and drinks.

It is also the perfect time to support our local Bixby businesses and community organizations. Red Wing Shoes is running a major sale event through October 25th, Long Beach Clothing Co. just released their new 'Marigold Catrina' t-shirts, and Dainty Disco now has spooky crafts available on their menu. For seasonal self-care, snag a Pumpkin Facial special at Urban Skin Works, book a Halloween costume mini photoshoot at F/8 Studios, or check out the October promos at Novel U Wellness. Spooky season is in full swing, and our neighborhood calendar over the next two weeks is absolutely packed with festive fall celebrations, local shopping, and family fun! First, we hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the newest art addition to our neighborhood—the incredible giant pencils on the corner of Bixby and Atlantic, created by our very own Tom Underhill! You can kick off your weekend right tomorrow, Saturday, October 10th, by stopping by The Better Half Boutique for their monthly Second Saturday event, and then head over to Sunshine Rabbit Center on Sunday, October 11th, for a special edition of Drag Storytime.

The momentum continues straight into next week as Evolving by Design hosts their Brushes & Blossoms event on October 17th. If you are looking for a family fun event, check out Rasselbock's Family Oktoberfest celebration on October 18th, followed by the kickoff of exciting Lotería Nights at Ancestros starting October 20th. Salsa y Sabor is bringing the heat with a salsa tasting and competition featuring 8 local restaurants battling for salsa bragging rights! 🌶️ Taste your way through creations from Ancestros, Lima Cebicheria Peruana, Tony’s Kitchen, Selva, Rivera’s, Tepechi, El Barrio Cantina, and Casa Perez. Then vote for your favorite in the People’s Choice Award!

🎶 Think Concerts in the Park(ing) Lot, but at Rancho Los Cerritos! Catch Yari More Latin Band live on the lawn from 2pm-4pm, join a salsa dance lesson with Velveth & Manny from 1:30pm-2pm, and enjoy an afternoon of music, dancing, and delicious food.
