A little Long Beach homecoming! 💛

Mary Ellen recently came back to Long Beach for a visit and, of course, had to spend time with the team and some fuzzy clients (along with making time for beach and sunshine, naturally)!

It was so nice having her back and getting the chance to catch up. They say teamwork makes the dream work, and our team truly is a dream!

We’re so grateful for the kind words. It means so much to us!Have you had a great experience with our team? Please leave...

Cats need enrichment too! 🐱

When we talk about enrichment, dogs often get all the attention, but our feline friends need opportunities to play, explore, problem-solve and satisfy their natural instincts, too.

So if you’re a cat parent, consider this your reminder to add a bit more play and enrichment into their day, either by doing so yourself or booking an enrichment visit with our team (or both!).

Great pet care starts with a well-trained team!

When you trust someone with your pet, you deserve to know they’re prepared and knowledgeable. Training is such an important part of what we do, and our team members undergo a thorough onboarding process that includes:

-Multiple interviews and meetings with management (along with a background check!)
-Online learning covering everything from health and wellness to canine behavior and communication
-Hands-on workshops
-Two weeks of shadowing experienced pet care pros
-A day spent learning alongside our certified dog trainer

And the learning doesn’t stop! There’s always more to learn about how we can understand animals and provide the best possible care, which is why Pet Waggin’ coordinates ongoing training opportunities for our crew.

Any questions about our training process?

Note: Every dog is different, and these signs don’t necessarily mean your pup needs more activity. If you have any concerns about their health, behavior or exercise needs, it’s always best to check in with your vet.

Decompression walks = happy dogs! 🌿

They’re beneficial for ALL dogs, but can be an absolute game-changer for active, anxious or reactive doggos. Sniffing and exploring provide mental stimulation, help release built-up energy, and give them the freedom to take in the world at their own pace. Basically, they can just be a dog!
