Ich in aquariums is super common but totally treatable if you act fast

If your fish have tiny white spots that look like salt you’re likely dealing with ich It’s a parasite that shows up when fish are stressed especially after adding new fish or changes in the tank

Watch for signs like white spots rubbing on decor fast breathing hiding or not eating

Treatment basics
Raise temp slowly to around 82 to 86 if your fish can handle it
Use a proven ich medication
Add extra aeration with a bubbler
Treat the whole tank not just one fish
Keep treating a few days after spots disappear

Ich has a life cycle so consistency matters You’re only killing it when it’s free swimming not when you see the spots

To prevent it quarantine new fish keep water stable and reduce stress

It looks scary but it’s very beatable with the right approach.
