So, here I am, beginning the final week of an 8 week healing from hernia surgery. I can't say I caught up on any T.V., as after a while, it gets boring. Not even Game of Thrones could hold my interest. Read a lot the first few weeks. I can't wait to get out there and work on my furry friends again. I start a week from tomorrow. Yeah!!!!

Well, it's been 4 days since I had my hernia surgery. The pain is subsiding, which is great. The doctor says not to do any heavy lifting or anything strenuous for 8 weeks. That's the big downside. It was an unexpectedly big hernia. I can't wait to get back to seeing my furry clients. Until then, have a great 2 months. More to come when I have more news.

Well, to say I've had an interesting couple of months. First, the trailer AC went bad, and I had to replace the entire unit. Then one week later, the Honda generator died. So, I had to replace that. Not cheap by a long shot. The following week I had to get 2 new tires. Now, about 2 months after the above happened, I had to have the axle on the trailer replaced. To say this has been an expensive 2-3 months is an understatement. Now, I can get back to grooming dogs next week. Thankfully the axle was replaced in one day. I was originally quoted 10 working days. So, something good happened. So, everyone, have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Well, if it rains, it pours. Just had a new AC unit installed last week. And now, I'm being told that my generator is probably on its last legs. What to do. Do I bite the bullet and shell out $5200 for a new Honda generator? Or have it fixed? It's a conundrum.

Hi all. Well, earlier this week, my AC unit died. You know it's bad inside the trailer when it's cooler outside at 86 degrees. Just had the new unit put on, and it works like a gem. Shout out to Murphy Mobile RV Repair. Paul was amazing to work with, and reasonable in pricing. Now I can work again without suffering heat stroke. Yeah!!!

Hi all. I need help for a client of mine. She has 3 dogs. However, she is being forced out of the house she has been renting for over 20 years. The place she is going to will only allow 2 dogs. She doesn't want to put her dog, Lucky, in the pound. He is an older dog, doesn't bark, only demands going out to do his business. He is a poodle mix, about 20 lbs. If anyone can adopt him, let me know. I will put you in touch with the owner.

Finally tested negative for covid. Yeah!!!!! This has been an interesting year, as I previously said. This past week, one of my neighbors heard something that sounded like a loose tire rim. Turned out, he was right. It was coming from the trailer. 2 of the lug bolts were sheared off, and the rest of the lug nuts were loose. I was grounded. Fortunately, I found a company that could come out and do the repair the next day. Tony's Mobile Repairs. They did a great job, were friendly, and I was able to at least get one grooming done. I look forward to 2024 to be a better year.

So, I haven't posted in a while. It's been an interesting year. And, now, I have tested positive for Covid. Took 3 1/2 years to get it. And, let me tell you, it drains you of energy. I can only handle a little activity before I tire out. Not my favorite disease, I can't go out to groom till I test negative.

This little Maltipoo was in such bad shape. Took 2 hours to get the body pelt off (he had a head piece that looked like a helmet), and a half hour to free his tail. I don't know how long he was like that. He was much happier afterwards. Poor little guy. One of the photos is just the pelt and tail mat. I see him in 3 months, letting him grow his fur out a bit. Almost looked like a Jack Russell when I was done.
