For an orthosis to be custom an in-person fitting appointment is necessary in my opinion. 90% of the work is done prior but the final 10% ensure an intimate and proper fit to prevent wounds. It prevents the need for over padding to keep it lightweight.

How much adjustment is needed varies by the type of brace but once in a while it’s a good day minimal adjustments are needed such as this static splint brace.

Final delivery is also nerve wrecking when I can’t guarantee how the pet will perform with the brace.
