Check those paws after fall walks!

Crunchy leaves make fall walks extra fun, but they can also hide sticks, burrs, sharp debris, and other things you don’t want stuck between your pup’s paw pads. 🐶🍁

After your walk, take a few seconds to check between their toes and paw pads — and wipe off any dirt or moisture before heading inside!

A quick paw check = happy, comfortable paws. 🐾💕

Walks aren’t just about getting exercise! Allowing your pup time to sniff gives them important mental stimulation and lets them explore the world around them. 🐶🌿

A slower, sniff-filled walk can sometimes be just as enriching as a longer walk!

🐾 Pet Sitter Pro Tip:

Refilling your pet’s water bowl isn’t the same as cleaning it! 💧🐶🐱

👉 Wash your pet’s water bowl regularly with soap and water before refilling it. Bowls can develop a slippery layer called biofilm, where bacteria and other microorganisms can accumulate.

Keeping their bowl clean means fresher water and a cleaner drinking space for your pet. 💗

Your cat’s tail can give you important clues about how they’re feeling. 🐱💗

👉 Pay attention to your cat’s tail AND the rest of their body language. A raised tail may signal confidence, while a puffed or tucked tail can mean they’re frightened, anxious, or uncomfortable.

Watching their ears, eyes, posture, and tail together can help you recognize when they want attention—and when they need a little space. 🐾
