Update on Petey : Some of you have seen our new Resort guest, some of you may have not.🐾❤️🐾

Petey came out of Cleveland,TX
He was found laying at a stop sign, unable to move🥲 saved by Zully Vasquez Ventura as she immediately posted him & we just could not say No!

At first, it was believed that he may have been hit by a car, after seeing an emergency vet, it was confirmed through x-rays, that nothing was broken or fractured .
They suspected a possible ACL tear .

Today Petey had his first visit with our vet today, it has been confirmed that there is no ACL tear.
However we have confirmed that he has…
1: Nerve damage, which is irreversible

2: Muscle atrophy in the back end, which this can be corrected, so we will begin therapy for that along with a higher protein diet for muscle mass.

3: Heartworm positive

Petey is 2-3 yrs old , unfortunately this poor little boy has obviously endured a very rough start🥲

Petey’s hair, had a funny smell & texture covered in various scabbed over areas, ( confirmed, no mange)

So whether somebody was cruel enough to spray a chemical on his little body, or we have noticed some distinctive marks that may lead us to believe cigarette burns ???
Either way he has endured more than his young age or little body should have to 🤬
As we will never truly know what type of injury he was forced to endure/or inflicted upon him to cause his nerve damage, along with the muscle atrophy, which has caused him to be weak🥲

We all sure could learn a valuable lessons from our furry friends without a voice, about Forgiveness & Loyalty!!!

Petey is a sweet, loving little boy, that has been amazing with children, cats & other pups in his foster home, he is eager to love , please & cover you in kisses 😘🐾😘

If you would like to send Petey a gift from his wish list to help with his road to newfound health & happiness , we know that he would greatly appreciate it🐾❤️🐾

Forever Home Update:Lazy Dane Resort

Baby Stella & Phoebe sure don’t look like babies anymore 💕

Both girls have grown so much since we seen them last, they are doing amazing in their forever homes, liven large 🐾❤️🐾

Stella loves walking the trails with mom & dad now that the weather has cooled down 🐾

Phoebe it’s quite the sassy pants keeping her mom on her toes 🤭

Afternoon 👋Everyone…

Just wanted to drop in & give a update on the girls, Lucy & Ethel …
KNA… Peppermint Patti & Suzy Q

So the URI is running its course, the coughing is much worse at night😫

They are definitely coming out of their shells, keeping me on my toes, not to jinx myself, but we have been 3 whole days & nights with no💩 accidents inside🤗
They are doing much better with PP inside though we do have accidents overnight, but none during the day so we’ll take that as a win in the right direction🤗🤗🤗

Now to work on manners, they’re both very sweet. They’re allowing me to hug them kiss them.
They’re actually following me around the hip .
We could definitely use some volunteers that would like to come out & spend some time with the girls, as I have earned their trust, they are not used to others, don’t think they are used to a lot of strangers/people in general😭
We had somebody stop by yesterday wanted to see them & they ran for the hills, barking taking cover in their kennel🥲

Peppermint Patti & Suzy Q are going to need a little extra help with realizing not all humans are scary🥲

Also want to thank everyone that has been sending things from the girls wish list. 🐾❤️🐾
It is greatly appreciated more than you know, the collars look beautiful on the girls, thank you so very much.
They were more accepting of wearing the collars than I had anticipated 🎉
