Many breeders now prefer shorter-bodied guppies with smaller dorsal and caudal fins. As a result, it's becoming harder to find guppies with the wide, flowing halfmoon tails and impressive finnage that once defined top-quality strains. While breeding preferences continue to evolve, many hobbyists still miss the bold, majestic look that made guppies so breathtaking just a few years ago.
