Dr. Tammy Mendez, her associates Dr. Rachelle Axline and Dr. Jessica Scherr, and our staff pride ourselves on our close, approachable relationships with our clients. Additionally, we are available to our existing clients for after hour emergencies. We are here to be your full service pet provider.

Veterinary medicine is more than a job, it's a commitment to the patients who depend on us, the families who trust us, and the team that makes it all possible.

From assisting with exams and surgeries to monitoring anesthesia, running diagnostics, comtorting nervous patients, educating clients, and keeping the hospital running smoothly, every day brings something new. Our work can be physically demanding, emotionally challenging, and unpredictable, but it is also incredibly rewarding. The opportunity to advocate for animals, make a difference in their health, and be there for them when they need us most is what makes this profession so meaningful.

This week, we're celebrating the people who make Animal Care Hospital what it is.

As our registered veterinary technician, Luis plays an important role in providing quality patient care through his technical knowledge, skills, and dedication.
Veterinary technicians are an essential part of veterinary medicine, and we're proud to have Luis on our team!

We're also celebrating our veterinary assistants: Taylor, Michelle, Lysseth, Cindy, Bailey, Sequoia, Ashley, Irene, and Brian. 🤍 From supporting our doctors and assisting with procedures to monitoring patients, keeping them comfortable, and helping everything run behind the scenes, our work is an essential part of each patient's care. Every task, big or small, contributes to the health and well-being of the animals we see.

We also want to give a thanks to our reception team; Kristina, Kaisja, Adriana, and Tina. From being the first point of contact for our clients to coordinating appointments, managing communication, and helping navigate the many moving parts of a veterinary hospital, their work is vital to the care we provide. A great patient experience begins the moment a client reaches out to us.

We each have different responsibilities, but we share the same purpose: providing compassionate care to our patients and supporting the people who love them. We are proud of the work we do, the relationships we build, and the team we continue to grow together. 🤍 🐾

It’s that time of year again! Time for Animal Care’s annual pet costume contest!!! We can’t wait to see what this year has in store! All entries will need to be in by midnight on October 31st. The winner will be announced in the evening of November 1st. There is a special prize for the winner. 👻

🎃 Remember to always supervise pets in costumes and do not dress a pet that is scared, uncomfortable or in attire that will restrict normal movement or visibility

This Día de los Mu***os, we’re creating a special ofrenda in our office to honor and remember the beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. 🐾

An ofrenda, or altar, is a beautiful tradition of Día de los Mu***os. It is a space where families celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed, keeping their memories alive through photos, flowers, candles, and meaningful mementos.

For us, this ofrenda is a way to recognize the incredible bond we share with our patients and their families. Our pets may leave our arms, but they never leave our hearts. 🐶🐱🐾

🌼 We invite our clients to help us fill our ofrenda with memories. If you have a beloved patient who has passed away and would like them included, please send us a favorite photo anytime between now and November 2nd to:

A few new things in our lobby! 🐾

We’ve been giving our lobby a little upgrade to make your visits with us even more comfortable!

- New drink fridge: Grab a cold drink while you wait! We will be adding different varieties.
- Coffee coming soon: We’ll soon have a coffee machine available for our clients to enjoy. We’ll keep you posted when it’s ready!
- Treat bags: Make your own dog/cat treat bags!
- Our pet photo slideshow: You may notice our TV showing photos of some of the adorable patients we’ve had in the clinic! The slideshow features photos taken here at ACH as well as photos our wonderful clients have shared with us. 🐶🐱🤍
