We speak about trimming your dogs nails but we must also say its important to keep your cats nails trimmed to prevent ingrown nails.
We have also seen similar spiral ingrown nails from declawed cats. Its extremely painful.
Declawing procedure entails 10 bones and cartilages amputations. It is an outdated and inhumane procedure. Its equivalent to amputating the first knuckle on each of your fingers!!
Many cats suffer in their later years from nerve pain, arthritis, ingrown nails that many times we cannot see, litter box & suspected behavior issues due to pain, we cannot see. Most people never know it is from declawing their cat who they think is fine.
So its important to keep the claws. Nature laws, have claws. Take care of them and do not resort to declawing.

"Today is Global Cat Day—a day for people around the world to stand up for policies that protect all cats in their communities as well as raise awareness about feral cats and promote Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). This campaign strives to create awareness and support advocacy efforts for all cats, especially cats who call the outdoors their home. Global Cat Day was formerly known as National Feral Cat Day, initiated in 2001 by Alley Cat Allies.

Do all you can to improve and protect the lives of community cats. Be an advocate and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves!

Perfectly healthy cats across the country are being trapped and killed in misguided attempts to manage community cat populations. Free-roaming cats are widely misunderstood, and often fall victim to deadly human ignorance and intolerance.

Supporters challenge the outdated "feral cat" paradigm, and encouraging communities away from trap-and-kill in favor of Trap-Neuter-Return. We support humane and effective community cat management programs that undertake life-saving trap-neuter-return, and strive to protect community cats and their outdoor"

Happy National Feral Cat Day! October 16

Today we celebrate the beautiful souls who live outdoors and deserve love, kindness, and compassion, too. 🐱🌸 Every feral cat deserves a chance to live a safe, healthy life.

🐾 They may be wild at heart, but they deserve our compassion. Let's make the world a kinder place for every cat, one paw at a time! 🐈💕🌷
