At The Healthy Pet Vet at Logan Animal Clinic, we’re proud to have TWO full-time and ONE part-time Registered Veterinary Technicians! ❤️

Those credentials represent years of hard work—formal schooling through accredited veterinary technology programs, passing a national examination, and earning state registration. Their education and expertise are a vital part of the care your pets receive.

From monitoring anesthesia and providing nursing care to running lab tests and supporting families, our technicians bring knowledge, skill, and compassion to every day—even the hardest ones.

We’re a small, privately owned clinic with a team we’re BIG on celebrating. To our three RVTs: thank you for everything you do for our patients, our clients, and our clinic! 🐶🐱

🍂🐾 Fall Must-Haves for Your Pets!

Preventive Care

✅ Flea and tick prevention is recommended year-round.
✅ Make sure vaccinations are current.
✅ Schedule an exam if your pet has not been seen within the last 365 days.
✅ Book appointments before the holiday rush.

Planning holiday boarding, travel, or grooming? Check your pet’s vaccination status and any facility requirements now so you have plenty of time to take care of everything.

Scheduling Appointments

📅 We’re currently booking 3–4 weeks in advance! Please plan ahead so we can help keep your pets healthy, comfortable, and ready for the season.

When scheduling, please provide as much detail as possible about your pet’s needs. If your pet has been vomiting, having diarrhea, experiencing excessive weight loss, or showing other signs of illness, let us know when booking.

Scheduling an illness visit as a vaccine appointment may not allow enough time for the appropriate evaluation and can delay care for your pet and others.

Medication Refills

To prescribe or dispense medication, your pet must have been examined by our veterinary team within the past 365 days. A current exam is required by The Ohio Board of Pharmacy and The Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.

Illness Visits and Appointment Times

We appreciate your patience and understanding when appointments take longer than anticipated. Unforeseen animal behaviors, such as fear, anxiety, or difficulty handling, may require additional time so we can work with your pet safely and compassionately.

Illnesses may also require further testing, treatment, or discussion before your pet can be safely discharged.

🐾 “You’re a veterinarian… you get to play with puppies and kittens all day!”

We wish. 😂

The reality is, it’s actually pretty rare that our days are spent simply playing with puppies and kittens.

Most days we’re juggling a packed schedule, squeezing in sick patients, answering calls and messages, working through diagnostics, comforting worried families, and sometimes helping someone say goodbye to a beloved pet.

But you can bet your life that when the stars align and we get a few adorable puppies or kittens in a row, we soak up EVERY SECOND.

We cuddle them.
We sniff the puppy breath.
We attempt to capture the perfect picture.
We probably talk to them in ridiculous voices.
And we inhale every single one of those good feels. 🥹🐶🐱

Because some days, we really need them.

And while we’re talking about those busy days, please remember there are humans on the other end of the phone, the other side of the front desk, and the other side of the exam table.

We genuinely want to help as many pets and people as we possibly can. Sometimes that means stretching our schedule- it means working through lunch and staying long after the hours posted on the door.

And sometimes, unfortunately, it means we have to say no.

It isn’t personal. It isn’t because we don’t care. There are simply only so many minutes in a day, and every patient deserves our attention when they’re in front of us.

So when we DO get that magical stretch of puppy breath, kitten cuddles and tiny wagging tail….

Yep. We’re going to soak up every darn second. ❤️🐾 look at our recent string of puppy visits.🙌🙌💗💕
