I know it’s been a long time since I’ve given any updates on this page. Things have been a little tough. It’s been difficult to finally write this post. We lost our sweet Tia this past June. Her liver began to fail and she passed away quickly and peacefully at home. I definitely have a missing piece of my heart.
This past week we found out our little Ella had an life threatening infection after her last heat cycle and we had to have her spayed to save her life. We were fortunate to catch it very early. She is doing well now.

Update on Tia. She is doing so much better today. She went into surgery on Monday and the vet scoped her throat looking for a tear. After about 40 minutes they were unable to find it. The original plan was to open her neck from her chin to chest to find and repair the hole. Instead we decided to place 2 drains to allow air to escape and give her body time to heal the tear on its own. Today was the first day in two weeks her head hasn’t had a lot of swelling. She absolutely hates wearing the suit but it has helped keep her body from swelling and protects her drains.

Sorry we haven’t posted for a while. This pandemic has made life crazy. I wanted to share a bit of sad news. Tia our black and silver mama is going in for surgery tomorrow to try to repair an air leak causing her body to fill up like a balloon. Please keep her in you prayers.

Guess this is how you tell someone you are out of water 😂. This scruffy puppy is sure full of personality. (Yes we do fill it often, but when you have an energetic lab, it goes dry pretty quick)

I was going to post this yesterday, but I got a little busy. Can't believe this litter of puppies turned 1. Its crazy how much they change. Ella looks nothing like that right now. Actually, sometimes her hair is so light you can't tell she is parti. I'd love to see what her siblings look like now they are 1. Please share how much they have changed.

This new snow we received is causing havoc with Ella's hair. Took me at least 30 minutes to get all the snowballs off her with the blow dryer. Her tummy and back legs were just as bad as the front. Everyone else takes quick trips to the bathroom. This little silly had to run all over the yard before she discover she was stuck and had to be carried inside.
