HEY, IM CANELO 👋
6 YEARS OLD AND ABSOLUTELY NO TABLE MANNERS. 🐾💨

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Canelo. A 6-year-old bulldog who is equal parts handsome, stinky boy, needy, and completely unaware that he is the problem. 😂

Let’s start with the positives, because we promise there are some.

🐶 I haven’t seemed to mind other animals.

👧 Kids? Haven’t bothered me either! BUT a tinier fast human MAY become my next mounting victim.

❤️ I’m a good boy who just wants love, attention, and preferably a human within eyesight at ALL times.

Now, let’s discuss my qualifications for being an absolute menace to society.

💨 I FART. A lot. Loudly, silently, aggressively, unexpectedly. If you enjoy breathing fresh air, we may not be compatible.

🍑 I HUMP. Apparently, not everything in this world is meant to be mounted. This is devastating news to me, and I’m currently working through it.

🛁 MY SKIN IS A HOT MESS. I’m receiving medicated baths for some pretty gross bulldog skin issues. We’re not entirely sure what I’m allergic to, but my skin has apparently decided it’s allergic to existing. The nice people of where I’m staying are going to be doing some food trials with me! We shall see! 😉

✂️ I HAD A YUCKY ENLARGED SKIN TAG REMOVED. So now I’m sporting some stitches while the humans work on getting me looking less like a walking veterinary bill.

💩 I HAVE QUESTIONABLE COPING SKILLS. Leave me alone and I may cry, whine, protest, and possibly eat my own p**p. Is it separation anxiety? Is it revenge? Is it a culinary preference? Nobody knows. The humans are horrified.

Despite all of this, I’m actually a really sweet, affectionate, whiny little gentleman who just needs someone willing to love me through my flaws. And believe me, I’ve got a few.

I’m not quite ready to pack my bags just yet! Once my skin is doing better and my stitches are removed, I’ll be ready for adoption!

Until then, I’ll be here at the Clinton County SPCA receiving my medicated spa treatments, making inappropriate romantic advances toward unsuspecting objects, and single-handedly destroying the air quality.

AFTER 3.5 YEARS... MARTHA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!

Since April 16th, 2023, unfortunately Martha has called the Clinton County SPCA home.
She was a feral cat released in the SPCA parking lot by someone. It took a really long time to adjust into a shelter, and still very few people could pick her up. But she waited until it was her turn. Even after a lot of no-shows on adopting her.. finally someone stepped up to get her out of the shelter!

Today was FINALLY her day.
After 1,283 days, our longest resident has officially walked out our doors and into her forever home!

Some goodbyes are bittersweet, but this is one we've been WAITING for!

(We promise she's happy about leaving!)

A Husky / Malamute is free roaming near the "ice mine cut" near the Son's of Italy campground on Renovo Road. The dog is not secured and has been roaming since early morning. Are you missing this dog? Any information is helpful to get this dog back to it's owner. 570-748-4756

This tiny little girl was found with a severely neglected wound that, unfortunately, had become infested with maggots. 💔

She was immediately taken to the veterinarian, where she has been receiving exceptional care and all the attention she desperately needed.

While we can’t change what Miss Flower has already endured, we can certainly change what her future looks like. ❤️

She’s tiny, she’s precious, and she has a whole lot of life left to live. We’re going to make sure she gets that chance.

Here’s to healing, second chances, and a much brighter future for Miss Flower! 🌸🐱💕
