💤 Breaking news: The peace treaty is holding.

This is Church. Yes, the handsome tuxedo cat you see completely passed out on one of the back chairs.

With the weather being so brutally hot lately, the humans decided it was time for us to put our differences aside. Church and I have been working hard on "sharing the space" so we can both enjoy the glorious, glorious indoor AC.

As you can see, he is taking his shift very seriously. I'm currently monitoring him from a safe distance to ensure his napping technique meets Deck’s Backroom high standards.

J.R. spent way too long calling my name and pacing around Deck's Backroom today. Little did he know, I was right here, perfectly wedged into this tiny shelf, silently judging him.

Honestly, it's getting embarrassing for the humans. Just two days ago, Staci did the exact same thing. I’m not hiding; I’m conducting a critical inventory audit from a superior vantage point.

🐱 Breaking my silence. It has been almost a week since my last update, and honestly, the neglect is real.

Look at this face. Does this look like the face of a cat who has been properly worshiped today? I don't think so. The humans here at Deck’s Backroom claim they’ve been "working hard" and "helping customers," but we all know their primary job is to serve me.

I’m currently occupying the counter until someone corrects this tragic lack of treats and chin scratches. Drop by the shop today and make yourself useful.

🏥 Out here doing my nightly rounds to ensure the neighborhood is safe. The hospital across the street looks quiet, which means everyone is exactly where they should be.

Ideally dreaming about feeding me canned food.

Ahoy, mateys! 🏴‍☠️

Bandit, the Decks Backroom shop cat, here. The crew tells me today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so I’m commanding the ship (and by ship, I mean the snack cabinet).

As you can see from this completely real, totally not edited photo of me on a tropical plundering expedition, I am fully committed to the pirate life. I’ve got me trusty peg leg, me official captain's hat, and a bounty of crunchy treats.

Me hooves, arrr, me paws, are currently busy digging into this treasure chest of kibble. Don't mind the background, the beaches in the backroom are just particularly sunny today.

Drop by the shop today and say "Ahoy!" Just make sure to bring extra treats if you want to pass through me waters safely. Otherwise, you might have to walk the plank!

I found out something funny 😺 it wasn't Bosses Day! It was Boss and Employee change places day!!

JR says he'd gladly change places with me, but I don't think he knows how hard I work 🐱‍🏍

Happy National Boss Day to my two favorite humans, the absolute best bosses a shop cat could ask for! 🐾

While most bosses expect you to look busy, mine completely understand that napping on the merchandise is a vital business strategy. They keep my bowl filled with the good food, respect my personal space (most of the time), and let me run this place like I actually own it.

Thank you for giving me the best "job" in the world and a warm place to call home. I promise to keep the shop free of mice and full of purrs today. Make sure to stop by The Backroom today and show them some love, or better yet, give me some scratches while they're looking! 😼❤️
