CEDAR HAVEN FARM

It’s always good to have a helper at the barn, regardless of how small they are. Having the desire to want to is better than having a 6 foot adult who doesn’t want to. Lol.

Girls & their horses. How sweet a fall day it is. What dreams are made of.

For those who do not have a pond and are tired of high water bills. Install gutters on your barn and make use of the water that comes out of the gutters.

Barn Life! There was a lady, Vera Cravens, who lived on the road my family farm is on. When I was in middle school I used to go to the barn with her & help her milk or anything else she wanted me to do. It seems when we’re that age we don’t mind doing work. Lol. We still think it’s fun. Lol. She kept a churn in her refrigerator and made her own butter and milk and many times she’d fix me a bowl of cornflakes before we go to the barn and I always thought the milk tasted awfully rich and now I know why because the cream was still in it. She dress very similar to how you see me when she went to the barn and sometimes her socks didn’t even match. Lol. I always wondered why she dressed the way she did. To look at her you’d think she didn’t have a penny to her name, but she was a very wealthy lady. I think she just didn’t give a damn, and she was not trying to impress anyone but herself and God. I guess we should remember to never judge a book by its cover.
I hope you enjoy the barn photos. I have several cats on duty keeping the mouse population down and my stallion has an abscess, so as you can see duct tape is not just used at NASCAR. Lol. Of course I do have stuff underneath the duct tape to help draw out the abscess. He has three girlfriends and of course Bugsy, the draft Percheron, is his favorite. He likes big girls. 😂
