This happened way too close to home, right here in our own community!

First and foremost, Jennifer and I are praying for this lady and hoping she makes a full recovery. I can’t imagine what she went through!

I want to give a huge thank you to Deputy Anderson Walker for stepping up and getting this lady the medical attention she needed. His quick actions may have saved her life!

Also, thank you to the neighbor who helped, all the first responders, and Animal Control Officer Krista Lawson, who was also injured during this incident. Prayers for her recovery as well!

Being a dog trainer, I can’t stress enough how important responsible dog ownership is. Nobody should have to worry about being attacked just walking down their own road!

Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help! 🙏

We Remember!!!! 9/11 ❤️

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working on:

🐾 Basic obedience & communication
🐾 Structure and boundaries in the home
🐾 Resource-guarding behavior
🐾 Building confidence around new environments
🐾 Proper exposure and socialization
🐾 Teaching them how to coexist more successfully

Behavior modification isn’t just about stopping unwanted behavior. We want these girls to become more confident, predictable companions while giving their owners the tools to maintain that progress when they return home.

We’ll be sharing their journey, so stay tuned! 👀

What great evening to work on eye contact and recall what are you doing with your dog comment below? ⬇️

An evening well spent with our Working German Shepherd, Nyxx! 🐾

Tonight, Travis spent some quality time working Nyxx on one of the most overlooked but important skills—engagement.

Using a 15-foot long line, we gave her as much freedom as possible while reinforcing:
✅ Loose leash walking
✅ Eye contact
✅ Checking in with the handler
✅ Reliable recall

The goal isn’t to control your dog—it’s to teach them to choose you, even when they have the freedom to explore.

A strong relationship and bond are the foundation of every well-trained dog. Training isn’t just about obedience… it’s about building trust, communication, and teamwork.

After a successful session, it was time to wind down with an elk antler on her bed, practicing another important life skill—learning how to settle and relax inside the house.

A dog that knows when to work and when to switch off is a happier companion.
