Lets talk about that dreaded Cheatgrass! It sticks to everything as our staff member’s Berniedoodle found out the hard way on Friday!!

Miss Winnie decided to eat some treats left behind by her sheep and goat friends at home and ended up with a mouth and throat full of sticky cheatgrass seeds and thistle thorns! Poor little girl had to be put under so Dr. Stacy and Haley could pull them all out!

Winnie is on antibiotics and pain meds and even got her mouth treated with our new Laser to help speed up the healing process! She is home and finally speaking to her Mom again!

Watch out for that nasty Cheatgrass while out with your pets … especially as everything gets drier this time of year!
