Our recent trip has been heavy in a lot of ways—but also really meaningful. 🥹
We didn’t just come through this area to “rescue.” We came to connect with people, sit in the reality of what they’re dealing with, and try to help where we could in the moment for those who we’re accepting. And honestly, there’s ALOT of need here.
We were able to give preventative care to several dogs who desperately needed it. Dogs living in flea-infested, uncomfortable conditions—not because anyone doesn’t love them, but because they simply don’t have the means to do better right now. A huge thank you to Alburnett Veterinary Service for a recent donation of preventatives that made that possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without that support.
There’s a stray problem here, yes. BUT there are also a lot of owned animals just hanging on the edge. And those are the ones that stick with you. The ones who have someone, but their someone is struggling too.💔
We know it’s easy to judge situations like this from the outside and sometimes we’re guilty of that too because of course we’re always wanting more, for the animals sake. But standing in it, talking to people face to face, you can see that many of them do care deeply. They just don’t have the resources, and their animals end up paying the price for that gap.
If we can step in early—before surrender, before abandonment, before things get worse and keep an animal in its home safely with it’s family, that matters just as much as any transport we do.
We’re going to keep trying to help this area as long as we have the ability to do so. Food. Preventatives. Basic care. The things that can mean the difference between a dog staying with their family or ending up on the streets.
If you feel moved to help, donations toward this effort go directly to the animals who need it most right now.

Thank you for standing with us, even when the work we do is hard to look at. These animals don’t get to choose their circumstances but together, we can help change their outcome. ❤️TNT🧨
