☀️ Summer Safety Alert: Blue-Green Algae 🚨

As we continue to enjoy warm weather adventures with our pets, it's important to stay aware of blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) in bodies of water. This toxic substance can appear as a pea-green colored paint or film on the water's surface and is highly dangerous to dogs and cats.

⚠️ Signs of poisoning include:
• Seizures
• Excessive drooling and panting
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Respiratory failure
• Disorientation

🐾 Keep your pets safe:
• Avoid stagnant bodies of water
• Don't let your pet drink from unfamiliar water sources
• Rinse your pet thoroughly with fresh water after swimming

If you suspect your pet has been exposed to blue-green algae, seek emergency veterinary care immediately. Our ER teams are here 24/7 to help.
