***COURTESY LISTING*** OAKLAND, CA

This handsome fella, Buddy, is in need of a new home. ❤️

Buddy’s dad’s health has been declining quickly, forcing him to close his business and move closer to family in mid-September. He can no longer properly care for Buddy, and while this is a heartbreaking decision, he knows it is in both of their best interests.

Buddy is a nearly 2-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix with the sweetest disposition. There is not an aggressive bone in his body. He is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and often gets even the least playful pups to join in the fun. He has not been around cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.

Buddy is crate trained, smart, and learns quickly. He has good off-leash recall, although other dogs can be a distraction, and his leash manners could use some brushing up. He has also had nearly constant access to the outdoors, so he may need a little help adjusting to a home without a doggy door.

His ideal home will give him plenty of exercise and adventures and/or have another playful dog. Buddy has spent most of his life with a canine sister, so this will be a big transition for him.

Buddy needs a new home or rescue ASAP. He is currently in Oakland, but transport can be arranged for the right home outside the Bay Area.

Our sweet TOG girl, 4-year-old Annie, has been waiting far too long for her forever home. Still, she continues to blossom. She recently earned her Certificate of Completion in Beginning Dog Training and now happily joins her foster mom on 10-mile hikes.

Annie would love a calm, adult home where she can keep learning and building on her good manners. She sleeps soundly through the night and greets each morning with happy tail wags and excitement for breakfast. She’s discovering the joy of daily walks, does well with the other dogs in her home, and would be a wonderful candidate for agility training.

Cheerful, bright, and eager to please, Annie is so ready for her happily ever after.

After recently losing her mom, Lily came to us scared and unsure. Having lived a very sheltered life, everything is new to her, but with a little patience and love, she's growing more confident every day.

This sweet little girl is estimated to be 8-10 years old and she weighs about 14 pounds. During her vet exam, we learned that Lily has a grade 5 heart murmur, and she has been started on meds to help manage it. Her adopter will need to continue monitoring her heart and maintain consistent lab-work throughout her life. Many dogs with heart murmurs go on to live happy, comfortable lives.

She's wonderful with dogs and cats and would love a calm, quiet home where she can continue to blossom. Lily doesn't ask for much - just a family to love her. Those sweet, gentle eyes will melt your heart.

15-year-old Little Avry is such a cutie patootie! We are in love with this gentle soul.

At her recent vet visit for a booster and treatment for her itchy skin, we learned that she may have a heart condition that could make anesthesia risky. She had been scheduled to be spayed and have her tumor removed, but we decided to cancel the surgery. Moving forward would require a visit to a cardiologist, and even then, we are not sure the potential benefits would outweigh the risks, especially at her age.

Avry is eating well, feeling happy, and enjoying life. We are exploring gentler treatment options for her, including acupuncture. She lived her entire life without ever seeing a vet, so we already know she is one tough little girl. We do not want to put her through anything we might regret.

For now, Avry is being spoiled silly in her foster home and she is a very loved and very lucky little girl.

Bonded siblings Sassy and Raider are just waking up to the morning. They are headed to our vet for their check-up later today and will be very happy to return home to their personal mountain of blankies.

We are heartbroken to share that Bonnie was hit by a car and has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was one of the sweetest, most special dogs we have ever had in our care, and we loved her dearly.

Our deepest condolences go out to both her foster family and her adoptive family during this devastating time.

Rest in peace, little Bonnie 💔

***LOST TOG DOG IN HAYWARD***

TOG alumni Bonnie (formerly Blondie) went missing last night in the Grove Way & Locust Street area of Hayward. She has not been reported as found at any shelter, and we have no indication that her microchip has been scanned.

Bonnie was captured on video after she went missing, and her diaper was found in the area. She is approximately 14 lbs. with fuzzy white fur and is mostly deaf and blind.

If you see Bonnie or have ANY information, please message Tails of Gray or report the sighting through her PawBoost alert:

(We are intentionally not posting her owner's phone number due to the prevalence of lost-pet scams).

We are hoping for a miracle here. Please, please share this post, especially with anyone in the Hayward area. ❤️
