Update on bean and her babies. Last night they had their first weights. We have some that were around 10 ounces but 2 of the girls are 5 and 6 ounces. They are small but mighty. Tonight they all gained about an ounce. Mom will not leave them for long. She is an amazing mother. She is taking a break for the next year and being my lap warmer. I found out last week that I need to have surgery on my knee I injured 4 years ago. My acl is pretty much gone and there is issues with my meniscus. If my meniscus needs repair I will be non weight baring for 6 weeks. My doctor says my knee will be stable until it’s not. Meaning I can blow it out at anytime. So with that said everyone will be on vacation and I am praying my knee will hold out until after beans pups find new laps to warm.

The babies are here. Mama and babies are doing great. Their first weights are done and our daily weigh in will commence. Some of the pups are much bigger than the others so we definitely be keeping a closer eye on them.

A quick up date it’s been a rather long night and day. I came back from my craft fair yesterday to bean being in labor. We spent the night on the couch, neither of us slept, she started to push around 7 this morning. She welcomed 1 boy and 5 girls. Unfortunately the last girl was born sleeping. Both bean and I are grieving but we realize we have 5 beauties to love on. The boy is a handsome Merle and we have a gorgeous-red Merle girl. 2 beautiful blue girls and what appears to be blue fawn girl I believe. Seeing as mom and I are totally exhausted we are resting and later this evening I will be changing them and doing first weights . I will take a quick group pick of this gorgeous litter later.

This chubby little queen’s window opens tomorrow. According to the X-ray she is still about a week out but we are still starting to check her temp tomorrow. Today shock and barrel went to their new homes. I had to give them their final cuddles from me. I’ll have a couple days break before more cuddles commence lol.

Miss bean and miss ivy at the vets today! Bean had her X-ray! The vet sees 5 maybe 6 puppies. Hopefully this is true and some are not hiding. She usually has 7 or 8 and that’s a lot for any dog. After this litter she will be skipping a heat so she will have over a year break. Even though she loves being a mama she needs a break.

Jazzy and Willow two of my gorgeous girls! I will be getting updated photos this evening of shock and barrel my 2 pretty babies. I can’t get photos of those 2 without the boys help. I can’t believe Friday they will be 10 weeks old. It’s a good thing that after bean Ivy and Willow retire we will be retiring from breeding because shock would be staying. She melts in my arms and it would be so easy to melt.
