LOLA's specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating & rehoming dogs and cats with responsible, deserving a

L.O.L.A's Rescue is a 501(c)3 animal rescue organization based in Littleton and Aurora, Colorado. We save as many at-risk animals as possible from uncertain futures. We are always looking for fosters and volunteers, and we take great care of where our dogs go. We are excited to announce the opening of our new Adoption Center in Aurora! Adoption fees:

Puppies under 10 months old - Starting at $475

10 months to 5 years old - Starting at $310

Seniors (5+) - $205

*some variations may apply at rescue discretion

Meet Moon!

This sweet girl is ready to retire from her “mom life” era and start living the spoiled dog life she always deserved. 2 year old shepherd mix.

Moon is a professional cuddler, belly rub enthusiast, and expert at making humans fall in love with her. She loves being around her people, soaking up attention, and reminding everyone that ear scratches are basically a necessity, not a luxury.

Moon is a fun, playful young dog who loves adventures with her people. She would be happiest with a family who enjoys walks, exploring, trips to the dog park, and giving her the mental and physical enrichment every young pup needs.

She has been amazing with humans and other dogs and is always ready to make new friends. She’s also incredibly smart and catches on quickly — she just needs a little patience and someone to show her the ropes (and maybe remind her that not everything in the house is a new toy).

After raising puppies, Moon is ready for her next chapter: no more tiny paws to chase, no more mom duties, just a comfy bed, a loving family, and a lifetime supply of belly rubs.

If you’re looking for a sweet, silly best friend who will keep you entertained and covered in dog hair, Moon might just be your girl!

Meet Alaskan 🤍

Alaskan is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing in at a perfect 19 pounds, and he’s a little boy who is still learning that the world can be a safe place.

We don’t know the story that brought Alaskan here. We don’t know what he has seen, what he has been through, or why the world feels so overwhelming to him right now. What we do know is that Alaskan is afraid — and sometimes, fear is simply a heart asking for a little more time.

But underneath that uncertainty is a sweet soul waiting to be discovered.

Alaskan absolutely loves the company of other dogs. There is something comforting about having a furry friend nearby, and other dogs seem to help him feel a little braver. Watching him around his canine friends gives us a glimpse of the dog we believe is waiting to come out of his shell.

Scared dogs like Alaskan have a special kind of beauty. They may not rush up to greet you or immediately show you their personality, but when they finally decide to trust, that trust can feel incredibly meaningful. They notice the little things. They learn your routines. They quietly watch, listen, and slowly begin to understand that your hands are gentle, your voice is kind, and home is a place where nothing bad is going to happen.

Alaskan doesn’t need someone looking for an instant best friend. He needs someone who understands that love sometimes looks like sitting nearby and waiting. It looks like celebrating the first tail wag, the first curious approach, the first time he chooses to stay close instead of hiding. It looks like giving him the freedom to move at his own pace.

With patience, consistency, and another friendly dog by his side, Alaskan may surprise you with just how much love he has been saving.

His story is still being written.

And maybe the best chapter of all is waiting to begin — with you. 🐾🤍

Meet Louie & Junie! 🐾

If you’re looking for two puppies who somehow missed the memo that puppies are supposed to be chaotic… meet Louie and Junie!

Louie is one of the most mellow puppies you’ll ever meet. He mostly keeps himself entertained, takes his sweet time getting places, and will carefully pick the *smallest* toy out of an entire pile. He has absolutely no idea how big his head is and occasionally pounces like a little fox.

The second you pet him, he melts right into you and rolls over for belly rubs. And his crate? He doesn’t just tolerate it — we’re pretty sure he actually enjoys it! Louie is about 35 lbs and currently believes a tiny squeaky crab is the greatest toy ever invented.

Junie is a little busier, but she’s still an incredibly mellow puppy. She’s currently losing the last of those pesky puppy teeth and is her brother’s little rock. She has had some separation anxiety from her humans, but it’s getting better every day.

She’s definitely loudest when she knows someone is home but she isn’t allowed out to join the party. She is incredibly sweet and gentle with smaller dogs, even laying down and crawling toward them to play. Petting her almost immediately gets her tongue going — licking is apparently her preferred form of communication!

Junie is about 33 lbs and currently obsessed with her frozen rope chew.

These two came to us already on a consistent potty schedule. They aren’t fully potty trained to go outside yet, but shifting their existing routine outdoors should be pretty straightforward.

They are incredibly smart and seem to learn as a team. Teach one of them something and you’ve probably trained both! They respond really well to praise, know the word “no,” and generally listen very well.

🐾 Meet Crosby! 🐾

At just 10 weeks old, Crosby is already stealing hearts! 💙 As for his breed… Boxer? Shepherd? A little bit of this and a little bit of that? Your guess is as good as ours! 😂 Whatever he is, we know one thing for sure: he’s 100% adorable!

Crosby is the sweetest, most playful little guy with a tail that never stops wagging. 🥰 He loves toys, bones, romping around with his foster brothers, and—his absolute favorite—snuggles!

He’s also working hard on his puppy manners. 🐶 He’s doing really well with potty training and has had very few accidents, all of which have been on puppy pads! He gets a little sad when he first goes into his crate, but he settles in nicely and is already sleeping all night like a champ. 🙌

Crosby is looking for a family who will continue helping him learn, grow, and become the amazing dog he’s destined to be. In return, you’ll get a happy, playful, snuggly puppy who will keep your heart (and probably your lap!) full. ❤️

🐾 Meet Boyd & Billie! 🐾

These two sweet little guys are having quite the time in foster, and we’re happy to report that the dog pack is getting along great! ❤️

Billie is the confident one—sweet, curious, playful, and very people-oriented. He loves attention, toys, cuddles, and climbing into your lap. He’s also been showing Boyd the ropes, confidently heading outside to potty and explore while Boyd happily follows his lead.

Boyd is a sweet, sensitive little guy who needs a little more time to warm up. New people and new situations can be overwhelming, but once he feels safe, his playful and curious side comes out. Billie has been a great confidence booster for him!

The boys have a really sweet friendship, but they do NOT need to be adopted together. Billie can thrive on his own, while Boyd would do best with a confident, friendly dog to help him continue learning how to be brave.

Both boys are doing well with their crates and enjoy getting outside once they’re comfortable. They’re not exactly looking to work the room at public events, so 1:1 introductions are recommended.

And apparently there is one more very important member of this foster pack… the fluffy Pomeranian who has somehow established himself as the leader.
