URGENT: Rucci Needs a Loving Forever Home! ❤️

COURTESY POST: PLEASE SHARE!

The Bunny Basement is helping spread the word about Rucci, an adorable 2-year-old Holland Lop who is urgently in need of a safe, loving forever home.

Rucci is neutered, litter trained, and scheduled to receive his RHDV2 vaccination tomorrow afternoon!

🐰 Meet Rucci!

Hi, I'm Rucci! I'm a little bunny with a BIG personality, and I'm looking for someone special to call my own!

🏡 I'm a free-roam bunny! I'm used to having my own space to explore, with multiple hideouts and different levels to climb. You'll often find me perched on top of my litter box or wooden castle, surveying my kingdom!

🥬 I'm a foodie! Yellow bell peppers and cilantro are my favorites. I also get very excited about oatmeal and even make little buzzing sounds when I smell it!

🚗 I'm an adventurous little guy! I've traveled quite a bit for a bunny and don't mind car rides. I especially love going on stroller walks with my family!

❤️ I'm affectionate, but on my terms! I love following my favorite person around the house and sitting beside them. I just don't enjoy being picked up or brushed.

🐕 I'm the boss! I have gotten along with dogs of various sizes, but I prefer being in charge! I'm not particularly fond of dogs close to my size.

My Ideal Forever Home:

- A free-roam or spacious indoor environment

- Plenty of hideouts, enrichment, and places to explore

- An adult household or one without small children

- Someone who understands rabbit behavior and respects my boundaries

- A loving human who wants a little shadow following them around!

Rucci is not a good match for homes with small children, as loud noises and being picked up make him uncomfortable.

❤️ Rucci urgently needs someone who will love him for the spirited, affectionate, independent little guy he is.

🐰 Courtesy Post: Meet Moo 🤍

The Bunny Basement is sharing this on behalf of Moo’s owner to help him find a loving forever home. Moo is not in our care.

Moo is a sweet, 7-year-old mini lop whose owner describes him as healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and litter trained. He may be a senior, but he still has plenty of young-bun energy, with binkies and zoomies at your feet!

His family has made the difficult decision to rehome him because they can’t give him the time and attention he deserves. He’s been a solo bunny his whole life, though he may do well with a compatible bunny friend and proper introductions.

Moo will come with his litter box, extra litter, potty pads, tunnel, toys, and the bunny house he loves sleeping in. A rehoming fee applies.

His owner is looking for a loving, attentive home, preferably with a free-roam setup. There’s no rush, finding the right forever family is what matters most.

Serious inquiries only. Please contact Moo’s owner directly at [email protected] for more information. 🤍

We Need Your Support to Make This Clinic Happen

Members of our community are relying on this clinic for access to an affordable RHDV vaccine, but we cannot move forward without enough participation and support.

For the clinic to happen, we must have at least 40 rabbits scheduled. Right now, we have 28 rabbits with appointments, which means we still need 12 more rabbits.

Peaks Exotics and its incredible staff have graciously offered their time and are shutting down their office for the day so they can dedicate their team and resources to this clinic. We are deeply grateful for their willingness to work alongside our rescue and generous donors to make essential preventative care more accessible to our community.

This clinic is truly a joint effort between veterinary professionals, donors, and the organizer. It is an opportunity to show that affordable rabbit care is deeply needed—and that it is possible when our entire community works together.

⚠️Please note that the veterinary office will be closed August 29 - September 5⚠️

📞 Call to schedule your rabbit’s appointment as soon as possible before the closure.

Appointments are required, and both space and funding remain limited.

✨An RHDV vaccine appointment typically costs between $150 and $200 per rabbit, but with the clinic discount and donations, families will pay only $50 per rabbit.

If you have been considering scheduling, please make the call.

We will not be able to offer this clinic without the community’s support. Your appointment could be one of the 12 that makes this possible—not only for your rabbit, but for every family relying on access to affordable preventative care

🚨 STOLEN RABBIT – PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Edit to add: I contacted Colorado Springs Dispatch and confirmed the case number matches the story - there is a rabbit in a vehicle reported stolen.

Our hearts are breaking as we ask for your help finding Boba, a 6-month-old black rabbit who was stolen this morning in Colorado Springs.

Boba was inside a black 2008 Ford Edge when the vehicle was stolen during a fake DoorDash order in the 1000 block of Magnolia St. The vehicle was taken around 5:42 AM on June 09, 2026. Some belongings were later found near E. Cache La Poudre St. and K**b Hill Ct., but Boba is still missing.

💔 Boba has been without access to his hay, water, and familiar surroundings. Rabbits are extremely sensitive animals, and every minute matters.

🐰 Boba's Description:
• 6 months old
• Black rabbit

🚗 Vehicle Description:
• Black 2008 Ford Edge
• License plate removed/discarded
• Dented driver's-side fender
• Foggy headlights

💰 $1,000 REWARD offered by the owner for Boba's safe return.

📞 If you have any information, sightings, security camera footage, or know the whereabouts of Boba or the vehicle, please call:

719-934-4996

📋 Colorado Springs Police Department Case #: 2026-205217

Please share this post widely—especially with friends, family, neighborhood groups, veterinary clinics, animal shelters, and rescue organizations throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Let's bring Boba home safely. ❤️🐰

King Bunny was found outside all alone before being welcomed into a home where he is absolutely adored.

Domestic rabbits don't belong outdoors. Every rabbit found and safely brought inside is a chance for a completely different future.

Today, King Bunny is living the life every rabbit deserves: good food, a safe home, and a family who loves him beyond measure.

Stories like his remind us why rescue matters. One rabbit, one family, and one second chance can change everything.
