Working with one of my training horses Tango today, he has a negative association with taking the bit because of some unfortunate training mistakes in his past. He is only 6 and it's fairly normal for a green horse to be fussy with the bit, however I believe that all horses should learn how to take the bit respectfully and happily! I have found that this method works on almost every horse, and if you are consistent with it your horse will start to search for the bit when the time comes 😊 I hope this is helpful! 🤗

most of our liberty session from tonight, he is so spicy and connected during these sessions 😁 I feel like he really enjoys the liberty, and over the last year he has become so much more expressive and tuned in 😏

This is a longer/unedited video of my grooming session with Shelly yesterday, only her 2nd time in the crosstie area. She is learning to groundtie beautifully, the fly spray is no longer an issue, and she politely gets all 4 feet cleaned/brushed and sprayed with a vinegar mix. Such a good girl!

Shelly had her first session in the roundpen with me today, she did so well!! This video was the entire session basically from the start. She was listening so well, therefore it was very short and then she got to graze 🐎🌱

2nd session with Shelly, during our first session we discovered that she enjoys being groomed and really loves a good scratch. She was very nervous about the feet, so today we focused on that. I like doing a mix of some groundwork (moving the feet) in between asking her to lift her feet, it gives her a chance to unwind and focus on something else so she doesn't feel trapped. Today was much better and tomorrow we should be able to pick them out and maybe even explore the back feet. Such a good girl 😊

8 months ago we got this cute, wild little 4 year old thoroughbred who wasn't even really halter broke 🙊 swipe to see his transformation from semi-feral field pet to reliable riding partner.
August 2020 ➡️ November 2020 ➡️ Now 😍 I'm so happy with his progress and I can't wait to see where life takes us 😊
