The UA Little Rock Campus Garden is dedicated to providing fresh food to UA Little Rock students, staff and faculty while teaching our community the importance of sustainable urban farming. From a vacant lot to a thriving small urban farm with a big vision, we are a place for education, research & outreach about food production & sustainable living.

Come on out to our end-of-summer farm stand on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.! Our produce is organically & sustainably grown in UA Little Rock’s on-campus urban farm. 🍈 🌶️ 🧅 🧄 🥔

This farm stand features our cantaloupe crop, onions, hot/super hot peppers , potatoes, garlic, okra, & herbs.

The farmstand is open till 5P, or while supplies last! Our 🧑‍🌾student-supported urban farm 🌾has been super productive this year and we’re still growing! We still have onions discounted by the bag, celery, potatoes, cucumbers 🥒, mild and sweet peppers, and jalapeños peppers. 🌶️

Proceeds support our garden and ongoing efforts teaching sustainable food production, and the importance of life skills for food security.

& our interns have been hard at work doing a great job! We have a bumper crop of onions 🧅 and much more - potatoes, tomatoes, beets, peppers, celery, cabbage, & long beans!

May 8, 5-7PM — Compost Meet-Up
Location: Fossil Cove Brewing, 1946 N. Birch Ave, Fayetteville.
A meet-up to network and share ideas, activities, and resources.

May 8, 4:30-7:30PM - Composting Social
Location: Night Farmers Market at St. Joseph Center of Arkansas, 6800 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock

Meet with compost and soil amendment producers, farmers, gardeners, and other compost enthusiasts while shopping for local produce. Man of the Red Earth vermicompost, red wiggler demo, Eco Drum demonstration, NLR Library Storytime, Books on Composting, kids activities, and more.

May 9, 1:30-4PM - Compost in Action
Location: Washington County Extension Office, 2536 N. McConnell Ave., Fayetteville

Learn about the Master Composter program, see hands-on demonstrations for home composting systems, and see large-scale composting in action. Bring your own bucket. Five gallons of compost offered per attendee.

May 9, 4:30-7PM - Rebuilding the UA-Little Rock Campus Garden Composting System
Location: 3343 Fair Park Blvd., Little Rock.

It’s time for our 🌱 Annual Spring Plant Sale Friday, April 11, 2025!

We have the ever-popular Citrines and Cherokee Purple, the solid producer 4th of July, and more tomatoes 🍅 varieties.

Of course we love our peppers 🌶️ 🫑 and have plenty of jalapeños (two varieties), Anaheims, Bells, Serranos, and more varieties.

Our supplies of perennials are limited but watch for our presale link to open on Monday, April 7! 📝

Tip: we’re in Zone 8a, don’t set your tomatoes & peppers out too early and chill their growth.🥶

We have garden produce and goods available. 🍅🌶️🍠 Also don’t miss the campus sustainability tour! If you haven’t been to the Campus Garden, join the group walking tour departing the Sustainability Committee table at 11A to tour the Campus Garden, Dr. Levin’s archeological dig site in the south field, pass the bee hives to the recycle center and power plant! ♻️
