They DID knock that glass off the counter on purpose, but that’s unrelated. 👀

Here at **House Veterinary Clinic**, we love a tiny house panther! Help yours have a safe Halloween with these important requests from the feline management team:

🏠 **Keep me inside.** I may look like I belong in a haunted forest, but I belong on your clean laundry.

🚪 **Give me a quiet room during trick-or-treating.** Strangers ringing the doorbell every three minutes? Absolutely not. My schedule says “nap.”

🍬 **Hide the candy AND the wrappers.** My questionable judgment is why you’re in charge.

🕯️ **Use battery-operated candles.** This tail has no turn signal and very little supervision.

🎃 **Respect my costume preferences.** If I freeze, hide, or try to escape, take it off. I’m already dressed as a tiny void with opinions.

🖤 Keep cats of every color safe, cozy, and comfortably judging you this Halloween.

Those adorable puppy-dog eyes might be hard to resist, but Halloween candy can be downright SPOOKY for our furry friends! 🐶🐱

🚫 Chocolate – Toxic to dogs and cats, especially dark chocolate and baking chocolate.

🚫 Sugar-Free Candy & Gum – May contain xylitol (also called birch sugar), which can be extremely dangerous for dogs.

🚫 Raisins – Even small amounts can cause serious kidney problems in dogs.

🚫 Candy Wrappers – Foil, plastic, and other wrappers can cause choking or intestinal blockages.

🍭 Keep the Halloween fun safe!
🎃 Store candy in a secure location, away from curious paws.
🎃 Remind children not to share their treats with pets.
🎃 Keep trick-or-treat bags off the floor and out of reach.
🎃 Have pet-friendly treats available so your furry family members can join the fun!

🚨 If you suspect your pet has eaten something dangerous, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Don't wait for symptoms!

🎃 A little pumpkin can be good for your pup’s tummy!

Plain pumpkin contains fiber that may help with occasional mild digestive upset. If you’d like to offer your dog some, choose 100% plain pumpkin purée—not pumpkin pie filling or anything with added sugar or spices. Start with a small amount mixed into their regular food.

Pumpkin isn’t a fix for every tummy trouble. If your dog’s symptoms continue, or they’re vomiting, seem unwell, or have blood in their stool, call our hospital for guidance. 🐾

If this sounds like your dog’s daily routine, allergies might be the culprit!

Dogs can experience allergies just like people do—but instead of sneezing and watery eyes, their symptoms often show up on their skin and ears.

Watch for:
🐾 Constant scratching or licking
🐾 Chewing at paws
🐾 Red, irritated skin
🐾 Recurring ear infections
🐾 Head shaking
🐾 Hair loss or hot spots
🐾 Rubbing their face on furniture or carpet

And yes… that obsessive paw licking at 2:00 AM that sounds approximately 400 times louder than it should? 👀
