If you sell homemade food products in Arkansas, this one’s worth a read 👀🌱
The state updated the Homemade Food Production Guide and a few things stood out to me as a backyard grower:
🥒 Pickled products like pickled okra, relish, salsa, and sauces are allowed but they must use ADH approved recipes, meet the required acidity level, and you must keep records for each batch.
🧃 Fresh squeezed juice, cold brew coffee, and beverages prepared on site are NOT allowed without a permit. A lot of people are selling these, so please read the update.
🌱 Microgreens are allowed but sprouts are not.
📦 You can sell and ship approved homemade food products online. You can also sell from your home, farm, or ranch without a permit as long as your products meet the guidelines.
🏷️ Labels must include your name and contact info, production date, ingredients in order, and the required home kitchen disclosure statement.
