UPDATE one of my BFF’s feels sad for Maple so she is picking her up tomorrow to see if she gets along with her German Shepherd. Fingers crossed guys 💛💙
💔 MAPLE’S NIGHT DIDN’T GO QUITE AS PLANNED…
Maple had a meet and greet yesterday, and her potential family wanted to give her a chance to stay overnight. We were hopeful that this might be the beginning of her happily ever after. ❤️
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out, so I picked Maple back up late last night and brought her home.
But here’s the thing I really want everyone to remember about Maple…
Maple is technically still a PUPPY. 🐶
She is an absolute sweetheart. She loves people, she loves attention, and she has the sweetest personality. But she also LOVES to play — because, well… she’s a puppy! 😂
And when you bring a dog into a brand-new house, they don’t automatically know the rules.
They may not know where the door is.
They may not know where they’re supposed to potty.
They may be nervous.
They may be excited.
They may have an accident.
They may not sleep perfectly the first night.
They may act completely different than they did at the meet and greet.
That doesn’t mean they’re a bad dog. It means they’re trying to figure out their new world.
That’s why we always encourage adopters to give a new rescue dog at least three days to decompress, settle in, and start figuring things out. ❤️
Maple deserves someone who understands that puppies take patience, consistency, supervision, and a LOT of love.
She is not broken.
She is not difficult.
She is not a bad dog.
She’s just a young girl who is still learning. 🥹
So Maple is back with us, and we’re going to keep looking for the right family — one who will give her the patience and grace she deserves while she learns how to be the very best Maple she can be.
Please help us find her forever family. Share Maple. Let’s get this sweet girl HOME. 🏡❤️🐾
