🐶 Submitting a reservation request does NOT automatically mean your reservation is confirmed. Our team must review and approve your request.

🐶 Some services require a deposit to complete the booking process.

🐶 You can view your existing reservations, deposits, and booking statuses through your client portal anytime!

🍂🐾 FALL in love with HDS… and forever in love with Benjamin. 🐾🍁

Our windows got a little makeover for fall, but this one means more to me than I could ever put into words. ❤️

If you’ve been part of the Hillcrest Dog Spot family for a while, you probably know my big boy, Benjamin. My sweet English Mastiff, my gentle giant, and one of the biggest pieces of my heart.

On August 7th, we had to say goodbye to Benjamin after 12 beautiful years together. And while I knew that day would eventually come, nothing could have prepared me for how much I would miss him.

Benjamin wasn’t just a dog to me. He was family. He was a part of my life, my story, and the heart behind so much of what I do.

When I decided to have our windows painted for fall, I knew I wanted Benjamin to be part of them. Not tucked away in a picture frame or hidden somewhere inside, but right out front, larger than life, exactly where my big boy belongs. 🥹❤️

Now, every morning when I walk into the business I’ve poured my heart into, I’ll get to see his sweet face looking back at me.

And every person who walks or drives past Hillcrest Dog Spot will get to see a little piece of the boy who meant the world to me.

🐾❤️ GUESS WHO’S BACK AT THE DOG SPOT?! ❤️🐾

✨SKEETER!!!! 🥹🎉🐶

Some pups come into our lives and leave paw prints on our hearts that never fade, and Skeeter is absolutely one of them!

Several months ago, Skeeter and his sweet mama traveled all the way from California to Arkansas to be with family during an incredibly difficult time.

While they were here, Skeeter became one of our beloved regulars at Hillcrest Dog Spot, and boy, did we fall in LOVE with him! ❤️

During a time of personal family loss and heartache, we were grateful to be able to provide Skeeter with a safe, happy place to spend his days and give his mama one less thing to worry about.

Eventually, Skeeter and his mama headed back home to California, and we sure did miss that sweet face!

BUT GUESS WHAT?! HE’S BACK!!! 🎉🐾

And we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back with open arms (and lots of belly rubs)!

This is one of the things I love most about what we do. These pups become so much more than just dogs who come to daycare. They become part of our lives, our routines, and our hearts.

We remember them. We miss them. And when they come back, it’s like welcoming an old friend home. 🥹❤️

✂️ GROOMING UPDATE:
April & Amber have grooming availability! Whitney is currently on maternity leave until next year, so be sure to get those fall grooming appointments booked.

🦃🎄 HOLIDAY BOARDING REMINDER:
Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it! Holiday boarding fills quickly, so we highly recommend getting those reservations in early. Please remember there is a $10 per night, per pup holiday upcharge.

Hi Dog Spot family! ♥️🐾

I wanted to send a little personal update from us.

I’m back. Like actually back. 😂

Over the last couple of months, I know I’ve been a little bit of a ghost around the shop. I haven’t disappeared from Hillcrest Dog Spot, but I did take a much-needed step back from being physically here every single day.

Owning a small business is HARD. I love this place, I love your dogs, and I love what we’ve built over the years—but I realized that I needed some time to get back to me so that I could come back and be the owner, leader, and person I want to be.

And while we’re talking about owners, I also want to give a little shoutout to Ashley, because sometimes I think people forget there are actually TWO of us behind the Dog Spot. 😂♥️

Ashley is still very much here and very much an owner of Hillcrest Dog Spot! She has just always been more of our behind-the-scenes, work-from-home half of the operation, while I’ve typically been the face you see running around the shop. There is so much that goes into owning this business that happens outside of the building, and she’s continued to be there helping keep things going behind the scenes even when you don’t see her.

I’m also incredibly grateful for our staff. I was able to step back because I have a capable team who stepped up, loved your pups, kept things moving, and allowed me to take that break when I needed it.

But now, I’m officially back in the shop full-time like the old days! ♥️🐾

You’ll be seeing a whole lot more of me at drop-offs and pick-ups, answering the door, loving on your pups, working alongside my staff, and being much more hands-on in our day-to-day operations again.

We’re also working on quite a few things behind the scenes—more staff training, clearer procedures, better communication, and continuing to improve the way we operate as a team.

Five years into owning this business, we’re still learning. We’re still growing. And I’ve learned that sometimes being a good business owner means recognizing when you need to step away for a minute so you can come back better.

So thank you for giving me the space to do that—even if you didn’t know that’s what I was doing. 😂♥️

We appreciate you guys more than you know, and I can’t wait to see you and your pups around the shop. ♥️🐾

🦠Kennel Cough🦠

It’s that time… everyone is traveling, dogs are coming and going. Germs are everywhere. Every facility is dealing with it right now and trust us, no one wants it. However, this is just part of it. Just like when little kids are in daycare and everyone is sick with the same cold. Kennel cough is a virus that some dogs show symptoms and some don’t. The vaccine helps obviously but is not 100% foolproof. The worst part about it is that dogs can spread it before they ever show any symptoms.

We clean all day long, every single day to combat any and all types of illness but sometimes a pesky strain is really resilient.

With that, if your dog is coughing or showing signs of not feeling well, absolutely let us know and contact your vet!! They will be the best resource to guide you on what to do! If they are sick and coughing we ask you keep them home until all symptoms are completely gone!
