🌎🐾 World Rabies Day | September 28th

Rabies is a deadly but preventable disease, and keeping pets vaccinated is one of the most important ways we can protect our pets, our team, and our community. 💉

📢 IMPORTANT POLICY UPDATE
Beginning October 1st, all patients of Kind Care Animal Hospital will be required to remain current on their rabies vaccination in order to continue receiving care at our practice.

This requirement is for the safety of our patients and staff and to ensure we are following rabies laws and public health guidelines.

Continuing Animal Pain Awareness Month! 🩵

Dogs can’t tell us when something hurts (we wish every day in vet med that they could), but changes in their everyday routine can speak volumes. Slowing down on walks, struggling with stairs, hesitating to jump, or having difficulty getting up may be signs of osteoarthritis or discomfort.

If your pup just doesn’t seem to be moving like they used to, talk with our team. Recognizing the signs of pain can help us keep them comfortable, active, and enjoying the things they love! 🐶💕

Meet George & Patches! 🐱

These handsome boys were found by a KCAH client who has taken them in and brought them for their first vaccines, exam, and diagnostics so they remain healthy and happy kittens!

As much as she would like to continue caring for these boys, she would love to adopt them out to another loving home as she has a few pets of her own already to care for.

We hope you and your furry family members enjoy a safe, relaxing holiday! Just a few Labor Day reminders:

🌭 Keep those cookout favorites on your plate—some people foods aren't pet-friendly.
☀️ Enjoy the last days of summer, but make sure pets have plenty of water and a cool place to relax.
🐾 And while you're taking a well-deserved break, don't forget to give your pets a little extra R&R too!

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month 🐾💙

Our pets can’t tell us when something hurts—and cats are especially good at hiding signs of pain. Changes like hesitating to jump, moving more slowly, sleeping more, or avoiding stairs may be subtle signs of osteoarthritis and discomfort.

If you’ve noticed changes in your cat’s mobility or behavior, talk with our team. Recognizing the signs is the first step toward helping them feel more comfortable and get back to doing the things they love. ❤️
