Alright folks, we need some help.

This is Timmy. He had been living in a cat carrier most of the time before he arrived. His person was doing their absolute best to keep him safe, and now he's ready to find a home. He's currently in less than ideal housing with us. We've exhausted our resources and are desperately searching for a person to help Timmy.

Timmy is about a year old. He is incredibly sweet to people he knows. He was very shy on his first day with us but quickly started head-butting her person's hand. He seems to get along well with other cats. He seems to be playful and gentle. He needs a person that can support him through a stressful time in his life. He's used to living in a very small space and may need time to adjust to living indoors. He's been excellent at using his litter box.

Timmy is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. If you're interested in adopting Timmy, please reach out to us!

Yesterday, we received a plea for help about 3 adult cats and 5 kittens. The adults had been living in kennels that were about 1ft x 2ft. These cats had nowhere safe to go. We didn't have any availability but knew we had to make something work for them. Within about an hour's time of receiving the call for help, we dropped everything to intake these cats and get them to safety. We were even lucky enough to be able to have them seen by a vet before they went to their foster home.

We are in the process of transferring them to another rescue. In the meantime, we're giving them the same love and care we give every KSR cat. We were worried about the kittens at first. They are at a fragile age and nearly all of them have eye infections. One has an injury to his eye and may need surgery for it. At first, all they did was sleep and eat. They're finally starting to feel better! ❤️

All of these cats are in desperate need of medical care. None are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and they likely have parasites. We could really use donations to help cover this surprise cost. Please, no negative comments about the situation these cats were in. Their person was doing their best for them with very few resources. We want to share this story to show how vital our organization is. These cats came from an area that receives no support for animals in need. This is the unfortunate reality we handle on a nearly daily basis. The weight of it has become so heavy that we needed to share. Because of all of our incredible supporters, we have the ability to share our resources at times like this. When someone chooses to support us, it means cats like this can receive a second chance when they've run out of luck.

We have some gut-wrenching news to share.

Our sweet little Byrd has crossed the rainbow bridge. We are so pained to have lost such a sweet and gentle girl. It was truly an honor to have cared for her. We made sure she knew she was so loved and brave while she fought. When her body could no longer go on, we assured her that everything would be okay. 🖤

Byrd nuzzled her way into her foster's heart and slept with her tiny muzzle snuggled into her person's neck. She was rarely alone in her time with us. She had a soft cozy bed with a heating pad and her tummy was always full with a nutritious meal. 🥰 She purred, she played, and she loved. She had no idea that she might've moved on to a new home someday. In all honesty, her foster likely would've stayed her "mom" forever. Byrd knew that. ❤️

Byrd's story is a reminder of why our organization is so important. So many kittens and cats suffer through an experience similar to Byrd's. We know not all of them are lucky enough to find help. We can prevent this suffering by encouraging responsible care for animals. This is why we feel so strongly about spaying and neutering cats. Only about 25% of cats born to a situation like Byrd's survive to one year of age.

Thank you all for loving Byrd with us and for helping us remember her. She left a Byrd sized hole in our hearts. Together we can create a future with less hardship for some of the world's most precious creatures. We appreciate every single person that helped Byrd through their kindness.

Byrd is here to say a big thank you to everyone that helped make our annual garage sale fundraiser a success. 🎉🥳 We were so fortunate this year. We even had our sweet kitty Rose find her family over the weekend. We rate the entire experience 10/10! 😻 We had beautiful weather, plenty of traffic, and made many new connections.

We're thankful to share that this fundraiser successfully raised funds that will benefit many. 💪 Every year we are in awe of the amazing support we have.

Byrd is continuing to improve and has figured out (mostly) how to eat on her own now. 🥰

Thank you again. We feel so lucky and can't wait to meet the precious lives that will be improved thanks to this fundraiser.

We owe a huge thank you to all of our supporters!

Because of you all, we could say yes to helping a kitten in need. This kitten was found alone with a large wound on his face. We collaborated with the kind person that found and was caring for this little guy. He was found in a rural area of MN with very few resources available.

So, we got to work. We reached out to everyone we could think of to help this precious little guy. Thankfully, Dr Dawson LaBorde at Living Waters Veterinary Clinic was able to squeeze this teeny guy into his schedule.

Once he was examined, we learned his injury was more severe than we thought. The cartilage holding the jaw together was broken and needed to be stabilized.

Without all of you, this kitten would've had to wait days to receive much needed medical care. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 💗 Together we all make a difference.

The kitten is waking up from anesthesia in this photo and we couldn't help but snap a picture of how cute he is. ❤️

These boys are all super cute, friendly, playful, and sweet. Their names are listed with their photos, along with a description of their personality. We couldn't be more happy for sweet Phillip. He was adopted and already has a cat best friend in his new home, as well as two people that already love him dearly.

We're also ecstatic for Auggie who was fortunate enough to find his new best friend too.
