Look at what my hubby spent the day baking for the store! 🧁🥧
He’s been hard at work in the kitchen today, and we have some absolute favorites lined up for you tomorrow:
🍋 Jumbo Lemon Muffins: Freshly baked with a mouth-watering crumb topping and filled with our family’s own homemade lemon curd!
🥜 Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pies: A customer-favorite classic topped with creamy goodness and white chocolate morsels, made fresh with love!
We just finished packing everything up, and they are out on the shelves and stocked in the cooler, waiting for us to open in the morning.

This weeks fresh milk delivery is here. Not only do we have the normal raw milk this week we also have 1/2 gallon pasteurized milk, 1/2 gallon chocolate milk and raw cream. Straight from our good friends over in topsham and now in our store and ready for your enjoyment.

We finally got our hands on a wood chipper and spent this crisp fall day turning last year’s goat-stripped Christmas trees into a giant mountain of fresh bedding! 🌲✨

Naturally, the Quality Control Committee showed up immediately to inspect my work:

>>>The pig dropped by for an official fluff-test.
>>>The chickens and emu took care of ground-level auditing.

🍁 A Fall Update from RMT Farms & Market 🍁
Hello to our wonderful farm family!
With the crisp winter air right around the corner and so much happening behind the scenes, we felt it was the perfect time to sit down and share a transparent, heartfelt update on all things going on at the farm. We are in full preparation mode for the changing seasons, and we have quite a few things to catch you up on!

***The House & Farm Status 🏡
First, an update on the house: currently, we haven’t had any viable offers. Because of this, we plan to take the house off the market prior to winter if it doesn't sell before then. All signs point to us staying right here through the winter, operating exactly as normal!

****Fryeburg Fair & Upcoming Store Hours 🍂
We have made the tough decision to pull out of the Fryeburg Fair this year. With some upcoming personal hurdles, we didn't feel we could be in the right mindset to put on the display you all deserve. Because we aren't heading to the fair, we'll be keeping the store open with just a brief schedule change next week to get things straightened out around the farm:
>>> Next week: Closed Monday through Wednesday.
>>>Reopening: Thursday, October 8th at our normal hours.
>>>Note: Nothing changes for the rest of THIS week! We are open tomorrow for regular hours, and we have lots of baked good surprises hitting the shelves!

***A Personal Medical Update ❤️‍🩹
On a more personal note—and anyone who knows me knows it is not easy for me to talk about my health—I have been fighting some worsening medical issues lately. I will be going in for a major surgery on December 9th.
>>>The store will be closed from Monday, Dec. 9th through Thursday, Dec. 12th.
>>>My amazing husband will be caring for me and will reopen the store on the 12th, stepping up to run things until I am back on my feet.
>>>I’ll be down for about 3 weeks with a 3-month total recovery. During the first two weeks, baked goods may be low to none, but my hubby will do his absolute best to keep the store stocked! I'm hoping to be back to full baking after the first month, and back in the store for normal operations by the 3-month mark. Outside of those 3 days for my surgery, the store will remain at its normal hours.

Holidays & Baked Goods! 🥧
Even with the surgery, the holidays are still on! We will be releasing our Thanksgiving baked goods order form (pies, yeast rolls, and more!) just after Halloween. Our Christmas order form will follow right after Thanksgiving. To ensure we can focus entirely on keeping our farm store beautifully stocked for you, we have decided not to attend any holiday craft shows this season. Instead, all our seasonal delights will be right here at the farm. (And yes, we are open all winter long with eggs, meat, milk, baked goods, honey, and more!)

Christmas Lights! 🎄✨
For those who love our yearly Christmas light display—don't worry! We fully plan on putting up the display, and as always, we are going bigger! We are just starting the decorating a little earlier this year so it is perfectly ready to glow before I go in for my surgery.

We built this business on honesty and transparency, which is why we want to keep you in the loop through the rough patches and the joyful seasons alike.
