Well this is fun…

For the last 2 months Rosie and I have been dealing with the T-mobile transition… Rosie got most of the messages first 4 weeks later I get the “thank you for joining T-Mobile” 💩 since then, about half of my voicemails go to the early 2000’s system that I apparently have to call in, enter pin, retrieve voicemail… well I just got the update tonight that my “voicemail box can be set up now, please select a pin”. A ridiculous amount of unread voicemails come through… from June… 🤦‍♀️

Another FYI, Rosie is in SOS mode while at her home 1/2mile down the street and my service is 1 bar upstairs and SOS in the basement shop… Wifi calling works when spectrum isn’t spotty.

Can we go back to copper telephone lines now?

Rant over, if you need anything grooming wise please text… those seem to come in best on the WIFI.

So as with a lot of Maine and most of Litchfield, our communities have increasingly dry wells. With the weather lately a lot of families are without water. These are tough times with the drought.

With a lot of luck and some household managing we have had very few times where our family has been without water this year but it is increasing. Please try to remember that 2 families live on this property with the business and 1 well. Grooming uses water, lots of it. Between the baths and the laundry and sanitary measures, a lot of water is used. Combine that with showers, dishes, laundry for 2 households…

The day has finally come where we had to cancel a whole day due to no water. We are always on high hopes this is temporary but luck is running out. We will be possibly looking at a single pet recycling system where we recycle soapy water back to the same pet for each wash then use clean water to rinse, but this is not our favorite choice. Currently we have reduced our process down to 1 wash and 1 rinse per pet which is not doing the quality job we’re used to.

Please be advised that we may need to adjust or limit scheduling so we don’t run out of water for the families. Pray our water levels come back to normal soon. We would absolutely hate to shut down. If things don’t change we may be forced to send our groomers out to work for other companies. (Gross🤢🤣)

Not my video but in my 20 years in grooming, (Eeww can’t believe it’s been that long) I have seen too many of these grooms and the medical results from this matting. And being on the grooming side I’ve had so many “I just brushed last night” and “he wasn’t matted last week” or “I’ll make my next appointment in 6 months”… these pets need grooming more often😢

Today we lost one of our own. I’m sure some of you remember Teddy being in the shop from time to time. She crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon after I got home from the shop. She will be missed dearly.
