Happy National Police K9 Day from all of our four-legged heroes at the Cook County Sheriff's Office! 🐾🐕‍🦺

We are so grateful for each and every one of our K9s and all that they bring to our agency. While each dog serves a different role within our department, they all wear their badges with pride—and we are incredibly proud to have them on our team. 💙

So many great guesses based off the x-rays we provided!! From fairy lights, rabbit feet, a small animal, toys..!,
And the answer is..... SO.MANY. HAIR TIES!!

Dr. Newman pulled these out with the scope avoiding a much more invasive abdominal surgery!

Hair ties, yarn, string, rubber bands, and ribbons (as examples) pose serious complications if ingested by cats! ALWAYS supervise your cat when playing with these types of items or toys! (Or keep them AWAY from them!)
