Here’s Rosie being a good girl and enjoying spring mix for her first time at her first vet visit! We can’t wait to see Rosie again for her RHDV2 booster and her spay, and we assured her that snacks will be involved!

***Exotics vets across the board agree that all female rabbits should be spayed - preferably before the age of 2, but we will spay healthy bunnies of any age - to prevent malignant uterine adenocarcinoma. Rates of this cancer are up to 80% in intact female rabbits over the age of 5.***

MEET OUR PATIENT OF THE WEEK: Herman, the Greek Tortoise! Herman came in today for oral medication administration. As many tortoise owners know, they can be very challenging to medicate, so many of our clients schedule tech appointments for us administer the medication. They may be small, but they are strong-willed and can be pretty spicy when they want! The technicians that gave him his meds, said that he was the absolute best boy and was very willing to take them today ☺️ Greek tortoises are strict herbivores, and this salad connoisseur is kind of a big deal, as he was recently featured on hydroponic garden website! 🥬🥬🥬
