Yesterday was a big day for Remi.
After a 6.5-hour car ride to Massachusetts, she officially started the next chapter of her life with her new family. As difficult as it was to say goodbye, seeing the updates over the last 24 hours has brought us so much comfort.
In less than one day, she has already supervised the filling of the birdbath, took a nap on the bed, played fetch, snuggled on laps, and explored conservation land on a hike with her new people. She even met one of the family's cats, and true to form, the introduction was completely uneventful.
This decision was not made lightly after contemplating her needs during the short time she's been with us. We wanted a home where she would be loved, included, challenged, and appreciated for exactly who she is. Seeing these first photos and hearing about her adventures, it's clear she's already making herself at home.
We are incredibly grateful to her new family for opening their hearts and giving her this opportunity. While we'll always miss her, there's a lot of peace in knowing she's exactly where she's supposed to be.
Be good, Remi. We can't wait to watch your next adventures unfold. โค๏ธ
