Sassy Strides Equestrian is looking to add two reliable, hardworking people to our team! We are currently hiring for a full barn manager & part-time weekday and weekend help, with pay ranging from $16–$25/hour depending on experience and knowledge.

🦄 Barn Manager Responsibilities include, Horse Care, Health monitoring, Veterinary and farrier appointments, Staff management, Barn cleanliness, Facility upkeep, Feed and tack inventory, Client communication, Daily chores.

🦄 Weekend Responsibilities include feeding, blanketing, turnout/bring-in, mucking stalls, and general horse care and barn cleaning.

We’re looking for someone who is 18+, dependable, self-motivated, has reliable transportation, and has some previous horse experience.

🌟 There may also be opportunities for the right candidate to make this position much more than just a barn job!

Depending on experience, interest, and commitment, additional opportunities may include:

* Riding lessons and continued education
* Learning professional grooming responsibilities and horse-show preparation
* Exercising and riding horses
* Expanding your knowledge of horse care and barn management
* On-site housing for the right candidate
* The option to work off board and stable your own horse with us

Can’t Get Enough Z, affectionately known as “Jenny,” is a kind, forgiving, and exceptionally rideable mare with a true “in-your-pocket” personality. She is as genuine as they come—always eager to please and incredibly intuitive to her rider. Takes a joke very well, will ALWAYS JUMP. Great hunter or three ring horse.
Jenny has proven herself to be a versatile and dependable partner both in and out of the show ring. She has successfully competed in the 3’3” Green Hunters with an adult amateur and 2’3” with a junior, she has also participated in hunter derbies. She has additionally stepped into the jumper ring at the lower levels, as well as   being a valued member of a lesson and IHSA program, safely packing riders from walk/trot through 3’. She had confidently schooled up to 3’6” with ease, showing plenty of scope for continued development. She is suitable for a wide range of riders, from beginners (ages 9–72) to more advanced riders looking for a quality young horse to bring along. She is incredibly straightforward, forgiving, and consistent.
