This hay is grown on fields used solely for hay production which includes irrigation pivots, rich soil, nutrient dense grass & top-tier maintenance. This will be 2022 hay cut earlier in the season before the drought was at its peak, but still during tougher conditions relating to evaporation rates while irrigating, increased costs in fuel & fertilizer, etc.
On a yearly basis, our hay from this particular field is provided to countless equine facilities across the state & country far & wide as it provides the most ideal source of nutrition & safest length & texture for complete, unbothered digestion.
You can expect this hay to be soft, green, mold free & of a safe length for your animals. You can also expect a HINT* of dust. Will your animals acquire a respiratory infection while consuming this hay? NO. However, we feel it should be noted as quite often we’ve experienced concern with this & no consideration of the driest conditions in history to bale in. You may also find a HINT* of water grass. We do sort off any bundles that are not pleasing to the eye—but there’s a chance of a slight sign of water grass which is completely harmless to your livestock & they’ll likely just pick around it.

The hay crisis in Texas has affected us all in unmeasurable ways. We wanted to update our customers on the hay supply here at Bradshaw Hay.
We do not expect to ever have a supply of round bales this season & if we do, it will be from an outside source, not hay that we have grown ourselves.
We have maintained our coastal square bale supply, thankfully through our re-packaging machinery. The quality of hay & bale is controlled through this process & will work diligently to continue to provide a supply to our customers as long as we possibly can and at the most reasonable price, all things considered.
We also have horse quality alfalfa in large bales that we feel is the most budget-friendly for the cost & nutritional value it provides. We currently have 3x3x8 bales in our barn available. This supply comes & goes often as does the bale size & price depending on the location it comes from & shipping rates.
We are transparent with our customers & will inform you of the region any of our hay came from, the quality & nutritional value it holds. We will not sell you any hay that we have not personally inspected ourselves. This is specified as there are multiple sources that are not knowledgeable in hay & are simply taking advantage of the drought & hay crisis.
We will be unavailable for hay loading or delivering for the week of August 1-5, but will resume business the following Monday. We do offer delivery, however, for the quickest way to receive hay we suggest scheduling a pick up. We are equipped to load semi’s, dry van trailers or smaller flatbeds. We have had an influx of calls regarding hay & we encourage you to text your needs & we will respond as soon as possible. We are currently on the road with our rodeo company and our service is limited from time to time, but please know, we feel your concern to secure your supply & will reach out.

We are adding to our team here at Bradshaw Hay Company & have a THREE positions available.
First Position: DELIVERY DRIVER. Looking for a motivated individual that is willing & capable of making deliveries to our customers & picking up loads to be brought to our facility in Lipan, TX. This person should have experience driving semi’s & strapping loads. A Class A CDL is required for this position. Our hay is packaged in a way that you will never have to handle by hand. We load & unload with equipment. You will not be tarping these loads, but you will be required to strap. You are home every night & this position does not send you across the country or overnight. In fact, it’s fairly minimal driving per day & a guaranteed check every week. We are open to someone retired & simply looking for an extra income or an individual looking for a full time income with opportunities to grow.
Basic knowledge of the equipment & ability to identify issues or hazards required. If your load shifts or is not loaded correctly, you must be able to recognize this & adjust accordingly.
Clean record & drug test.
Physically capable of strapping loads or bringing assistance (on your dollar) to do so.
EXPERIENCE with semi’s required. We don’t always deliver to the most semi-friendly locations so knowledge of driving required in order to prevent accidents.
Transportation to & from Lipan, TX required. The trucks always stay parked at our facility.
It’s not the most glorious job, but it’s honest work & a paycheck every week & a chance to be home every evening. Our trucks run legally with farm tags so we tend to be less-harassed by DOT.

Formed with a love and passion for living the western way of life, Bradshaw Hay Company was founded by Troy and Lindsey Bradshaw.
We noticed a lack of true quality hay in our area and took our knowledge in the livestock business and the small amount of hay equipment we had sitting around and moved forward with a goal to continuously produce high quality coastal Bermuda grass hay that can ultimately be provided to horse enthusiasts.
Alone stood two young souls determined to provide quality over quantity. It was more important to us to provide each customer with a beautiful and nutritious bale of hay rather than strive to produce large numbers of mediocre hay. We alternated on who got to run the equipment and who got the luxury of hand stacking square bales. Some days we found ourselves running on 1-2 hours of sleep because we couldn't afford to slow down and certainly did not want to let a customer down. There were nights I was sleeping on top of a stack of round bales while Troy was repairing equipment so we could get back to running. Bless those customers that did stick with us through working all the kinks out.
With much determination and the mindset that we would continue to expand by providing a service and product that we could take pride in, we have reached a number of goals, but have many left to work towards.
We now operate on a larger scale and luckily I do not hand stack anymore bales of hay, but instead, manage the marketing of our businesses and raise the greatest gift from God, our Mesa Lu. Our business services multiple retailers, large ranches, training facilities, exotic operations, zoos and countless others across the state of Texas and United States. We feel so fortunate and have a level of gratitude that we could never truly express to our customers.
We’ve built lasting relationships with our customers and other hay producers in this business. With the expansion of our business, we also added equipment to allow a more efficient operation to produce, store and deliver our hay at a budget-friendly price without compromising the quality or level of nutrition found in our product.
Troy and I grew up in the horse show industry so it was only fitting that we grew our business to specialize in the production of horse quality hay that is easy to handle and feed. We only offer a product that we would feed to our own show horses. We’ve been blessed to have accumulated countless accolades in the show pen, and Troy has proven himself raising bucking bulls that have had much success in the futurities and PBR circuit. If we aren’t raising hay on our fields, you’ll find corriente cattle raising beef calves. Nutrition is the number one factor in the success of all of the above and we are proud to raise our own forage products and offer a high quality Bermuda grass to the public.
