I have heard too often about children left in a hot car. I thought about the times I would go somewhere without my son and then get out of the car to get him from his car seat. It was automatic. It was a habit. I never forgot about him. I only forgot when he wasn’t there.
It’s one month today. The house is so empty. It has been over 32 years since I have had a house without a dog. Everywhere I go I am reminded of her. I have so many fond memories but also miss her so much. The other day I got up from my desk and stepped over a dog that was not lying there. I lost it. How long am I going to keep doing this I cried. I have been doing it all month. Annea never moved. She would just lay there sleeping peacefully until I stepped over her and then she would get up.
The photo is from her last day with me. I always gave her the empty yogurt container to lick. That day the container wasn’t empty, but I emptied it and gave it to her. She did not clean it out but she made her best attempt. 🐾💔❤️🩹🐾
