🐾 International Check the Chip Day 🐾

Take a few minutes to:
✔️ Confirm your contact information with your pet’s microchip company
✔️ Update your phone number, address, or email if anything has changed
✔️ Check that your pet’s collar tags are current and easy to read

We recommend checking your pet’s microchip information at least once a year to make sure you can be reached if your pet is found.

Keeping track of your pet’s “itchy score” can be a helpful way to monitor their progress and determine if a treatment plan or medication is making a difference.

Try rating your pet’s itch level each day and watch for changes over time. This information can help us better understand how your pet is responding and make adjustments if needed.

🟢 4 – Mild Itching
Moderately frequent itching with occasional nighttime scratching. No itching while sleeping, playing, or eating.

🔵 2 – Very Mild Itching
Occasional itching that is only slightly more frequent than normal.

🐾 August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month! 🐾

Your pet’s skin is their first line of defense against infection and disease, so keeping it healthy is an important part of their overall wellness.

One way to support healthy skin is with a quality fatty acid (Omega-3) supplement. We often recommend Omega-3s for dogs because they can help support:
✔️ Healthy skin and a shiny coat
✔️ Normal inflammation response
✔️ Joint and muscle health
✔️ Heart health support

If your pet is itchy, licking, chewing, or experiencing skin changes, let us know! We can help determine the cause and recommend ways to keep your pet comfortable and healthy. 🐶🐱💙

🎒🐾 Back-to-School Reminder

As summer winds down, many pets will soon notice a big change in the household routine. If your pet is used to having everyone home, start preparing now to help ease the transition.

A few ways to help:
• Gradually return to your school-year schedule
• Practice leaving your pet home for short periods
• Keep feeding, walks, and playtime as consistent as possible
• Provide puzzle toys or enrichment activities while you're away

Making small changes now can help reduce stress and separation anxiety when September arrives. If you're concerned your pet may struggle with the transition, we're here to help!
