TODAY'S SENIOR SPOTLIGHT-MAX!
Max is a German Shepherd mix about 13 years old. He came into our lives when our son adopted him in 2017, when he came to Minnesota from the Oklahoma Humane Society. Not much information on him was given as his records were lost after spending a year being passed between facilities. Thankfully, they saw what a great intelligent dog he was and he came to Minnesota to find his forever home. He knew how to do so much and showed us how much training was done with his former owner. He had to be loved very much!
He spends time between our house and our son’s house now and has been very adaptive with the different routines at each house. He knows grandma doesn’t say no to treats! 😉 He gets a little sad being left sometimes and is very excited to see our son again.
He enjoys going on walks (although shorter and slower now) all over Princeton with our son, going for car rides, being outside and playing with the cat. He likes soft blankets, treats, chewing on bones and cuddles. Through the years he has especially enjoyed hanging out with the grandkids and playing with other family pet friends. He has so much love to give and is loved by many. His paw shows a heart ❤️
He met the staff there recently, when he developed an UTI and we learned of his advanced kidney disease. Thankful for the staff in helping him through this journey. I know he didn’t show how obedient and trained he normally is because he was very stressed about the the vet visit, but the staff was great with him and literally meet him at his level on the floor in the corner under the exam table, to accomplish what needed to be done.
