Hi everyone!

We were able to fill the positions for our Saturday and Sunday staff. We are now looking for part-time/as needed help for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The hours would be from 8am-5pm. If you are interested, please give us a call or text at 785-227-3854. Thanks so much!

We are now FULL for tonight and tomorrow night.. We are also full for Saturday September 5th! We have a few rooms left for the night of the 4th & 6th if you're able to adjust your plans at all. :)

We had a couple of last minute cancellations for grooming on Thursday the 20th. :) We have an 8am & 9am spot if anyone is interested! We will be closed to the public tomorrow, so if you can't reach us by phone before 5pm today, shoot us a message via FB. :)

Please be patient with us folks. Our staff has been hit hard with the stomach bug going around, bad enough that Marla ended up in the ER this weekend. Our healthy staff is all new, so we are slow to return calls, etc as taking care of the furbabies in our care comes first. We WILL get back to you, just not quite as prompt as usual. We have had a few people get upset that it took us a couple hours to get back to them. We are doing our best in a really unfortunate few days with our seasoned staff dropping like flies and not wanting to spread it to the general public, so they are staying home when they are sick. Thanks for understanding. Stay well. This is some nasty stuff going around.

FINAL UPDATE!!!! Lola has secured a loving furever home if it does not work out with moving her into the care facility with her momma. :) Thank you all so much for the shares and everyone who reached out to inquire about Lola!!!!

UPDATE: After communicating with the family, it seems they have gotten the facility to reconsider taking Lola! They are going to do a few trial runs for the next couple of weeks to see if Lola can maybe still move in with her momma!! YAY!!! However, we would still like to continue searching for a home in case it does not work out in the end. So, any interest in giving Lola a furever home is appreciated. :)

SVDC family, we need your help. ❤️🥺 This is Lola! Lola has been with us long term as her owner is elderly and developed significant health issues a few months ago… We were all hoping that Lola could move in with her momma in assisted living but her health has declined to a point that Lola moving in with her is no longer an option. 💔

Lola is a 11 year old Shepherd mix. She has never shown aggression towards other dogs or people while with us. She has been a client of ours for several years. ❤️ She is very food motivated and loves snuggles. We will be picky about where she goes and hope that she can stay within the SVDC family. Honestly, I’d keep her myself if I didn’t already have 5 other dogs and my menagerie. 😅 She is just that special!
